add in also that "because I love everything"BECAUSE I LOVE EVERYTHING??!?**punches the wall**
i just read Arata Iura's recent tweets (i didn't follow any account that's related to the show to avoid spoilers) and damn... that black & white photo of him in the woods... punched me right in the kokoro ðŸ˜
You're telling me he has always been living with that black box of truth inside him for the past 16 years??? Keeping…
Exactly, remember when Yuu turned himself in?? I'm sure Kase didn't expect what he did got backfired like that, it must have been hell for him.
it's ok lmao Fuji definitely deserved the doubts, like how dare him suspect his own best friend, who tf would have doubts on Daichan!!! (except for us audience lol) jk I know that they had to have someone pointing out the possibility that it could have been Daiki, Kase or anyone else we'd never expect of that helped Tatsuo that night because there was no solid evidence, unless Kase himself confesses. So it might seem like Fuji was talking nonsense but that part actually has its purpose i think.
tbh I actually never doubted Daiki, not even once lol Kase on the other hand though, I pretended that it wasn't a possibility and they really had me digging my own grave asdfjkdjalsdjsks

I KNOW RIGHT. I was pulling my hair watching that scene. The pain was TOO REAL. My hands are still shaking and my mind just can't stop rewinding everything and thinking about what he had gone through, what kind of pain and conflict he had to live with without letting anyone know. Like, he knew everything from the beginning 😠oh god the loneliness...

Well, as a Kase biased, this is THE tragic ending to me, a nightmare that I had always been afraid of. And I don't think that he "lived like nothing has happened or not feel any remorse", he actually lived every day of his life patching up Rio's and Yuu's wound and doing his best to give them a better future. He did what he thought was right. It's not that he doesn't have any weakness or remorse, he just could never show them to anyone because he had to be strong enough to protect the ones he loves.
just finished the last episode. i saw it coming, i f**king called it but i turned a blind eye to it and now i'm…
You're telling me he has always been living with that black box of truth inside him for the past 16 years??? Keeping it tight closed for as long as he lives???? Only us audience and him know the whole truth??? Can you imagine the loneliness, the pain he had gone through??? The man literally KNEW everything and DID everything he could to protect the siblings. "Deepest Affection"?? DEEPEST AFFECTION!!?? I'M DEAD. DEAD.
I really liked it. As an Asian woman, I think it's very relatable. I admit that I have a soft spot for movies about women supporting other women so this movie got me easily, but it's still a beautifully made movie on its own. That scene when Hanako waved at the young girls across the road and they happily waved back, not gonna lie... I sobbed. Adding this to my comfort movies list for sure.
"It's not something you eat. You just enjoy its aroma." The quince is a perfect symbolism of Shintaro and Hinako's relationship. And that ending credit where Fumiko's walking with the quince tree in her hands is hauntingly beautiful.
(Yeah... I just rewatched it for like... the 5th time)
the only thing that didn't sit right with me is that they cast a woman as gorgeous as Konishi Manami to play a character that was supposed to be "plain looking"... I'm just... what?
The plot itself wasn't too excellent but still good enough to push the youngsters. The 2 FL gave amazing performances (her nails biting really got on my nerves tbh that how good Kaya was).
