This drama was never subbed in English, and with the unpopular cast, it completely went under the radar. The raw download links are all dead (even dead on avistaz). In the end, I watched it with Japanese subs and the raws I got from dramacool. God, the things I would do just to watch Itagaki Rihito lol But it was kinda worth it. I mostly skipped to Rihito's scenes so I can't say much about the story but the clinic didn't only treat/cure their patients, they also (and mostly) solved mysterious cases that concerned the patients. Aside from Kasumi (ML), all of the clinic's staffs were quite peculiar and I love their subtle humor. Well, the drama is not that bad, it's just not well-known.
Rihito's character was an excellent 32-year-old psychiatrist that had the appearance of a grade-schooler (he was 16 when he took this role) and he nailed it. He exuded a wise and mature aura that was very charming and elegant. Rihito really suits this kind of character. Too bad the drama flopped.
Also they did hint a little of bromance between Tsubasa and Kuromiya i think, they were cute lol Anyway if this drama ever gets subbed, please let me know. I'd love to watch it again and understand it completely.
His roles always have either dark traumatic past or tragic background. Honestly I find him and his acting very fascinating but i don't think my heart can keep doing this 😭
Anyone else noticed the hallway that was full of plants and flowers with a "joint space" sign? (the sign was written in japanese) Was it like... a metaphor of the ethic class or something? They even put some of the plants on chairs and desks. idk it seemed intentional, maybe i'm just reading too far. it would be really interesting and clever if it was true though.
I wanted to know more about Tokigawa's background! His episode was so sad when the teacher didn't hug him!! Yuki…
I finally decided to watch this drama because of Itagaki Rihito. I saw your comment and tried to be mentally prepared but that scene still got my heart broken 😭
If there's one thing I liked about the plot, I'd say it was how the teachers worked as a team to support the students, they didn't pour all the responsibilities on the homeroom teachers.
I actually stopped paying attention to teacher-student school life j-dramas years ago because most of them seems to get repetitive but I decided to watch this one mainly for of the cast because, you see, apart from the experienced actors, the cast is full of up-and-coming young faces. And I wasn't disappointed. It's true that the plot was nothing extraordinary, it was rather rushed in the 2nd half, though I did shed a few tears in the end. But for me, it was the acting performances that were worth watching. Namely, Hamabe Minami, Michieda Shunsuke and Itagaki Rihito, they did a really good job here, I was surprised. I actually expected more from Kawai Yuumi as well but sadly they didn't give her much screentime.
Anyway, this was a very good drama to push the new generation of actors. I'm sure a few years from now people will start looking back on this one and be surprised at how both main roles and supporting roles were full of big stars ;)
if it's already this fun just them giving each other tickets, can you imagine them on the actual onsen trip?? 200% cuteness and chaos lol I'd pay good money to see that.
I LOVED THIS!! Exactly what I've been looking for. I loved the stories, the atmosphere, the humor, the characters and the music! Simple yet sophisticated. Basically I loved everything about it, definitely my cup of tea. The only complaint is it's too short, I hope they will make season 2, 3, 4... in the future, I just really need mooooore.
OOOOH DAMN. I'm currently in a dark movies/series mode - and I wanted to binge on Iura Arata's works - so I wanted…
I downloaded the raw and the subs from Avistaz (not sure if you know about it? it's a private torrent tracker). I actually don't know if it's available to watch anywhere else so I can't help much, sorry.
And hello again xD Good choice with Arata for dark themes ahahaha you'd be surprised with the amount of dark movies/dramas he's worked in. The thing is, he does a lot of indie movies that are mostly not everyone's cup of tea, so it's really tricky to find his movies with subs. I'm glad that he's been more active on TV dramas recently hehe it's easier to follow ^^~
I know you didn't ask, but my recommendations would be Koi (Special Movie - 2013) and Unnatural (Drama - 2018). Both of these starring him and Satomi Ishihara hehe, not as disturbing as Hikari but still dark and good 🥰
I don't know how they did it but they managed to keep the whole drama so chill and so chaotic at the same time lol and it's even more enjoyable than the 1st season because the characters' developments are so good. Whatever's going on between Omori and Matsuda... is called the art of edging hahaha Can't wait to see the Special episode.
Also Itagaki Rihito was so freaking cute here. Gosh... the entire cast is just perfect. To whoever did the casting and characters design/styling for this drama, you're doing god's work.
(This is in the trailer so I guess I don't have to put in spoiler) At start of the trailer, when Sakiko asked Takahashi to live with her, she said "Would you become my family?" and I think that was such a lovely way to put it. The trailer has a very cute and heartwarming family vibe, I really hope they'll keep drama that way <3
Loved the cast but got confused on the plot. What is a Hiru exactly then?
‘Hiru’ literally means ‘a leech’. According to the original manga, the term indicates people that live secretly in other people’s houses, take their food and use their furniture without the owner’s noticing. In other words, they are parasites. I think they will elaborate more on its definition in the drama.

and Kotone was just... simply amazing.
