I haven't watched any of this but I have bad feelings about this. The last time Nojima Shinji worked with Fuji TV, it didn't went so well. And the plot is bit... lol Nonetheless I'll still watch this if it gets subbed.
this is actually a really cute story about love, family and dreams. I was grinning and laughing most of the time. Takahashi Issei was absolutely adorable in this.
I rarely, almost never, watch any historical jdrama so the first 4 episodes were kinda hard to follow. But after that it started to grow on me and it was nothing less of excellence. I actually cried at some parts. The cast did an amazing job. My favorite was Takahashi Issei's character - Nagamasa, he was too precious for the world he lived in ;-;
Also, that history book going around really gave me anxieties lol
i was watching his "night routine" on youtube because he's so freaking pretty i wanted to know his beauty secrets, and then in the middle of the video he whipped out a wacom tablet and started drawing (and he was actually good at it). i just- i was speechless. this kid really had me dying right on the spot.
i keep coming back to this drama and re-watch my favorite scenes to overcome my bad days <3 probably the drama that sparked the most joy in me in 2021.
is this a frustrating watch in any way? want to give this a try but scared by that love triangle tag XD
No, just go for it. It's actually really cute. The only frustrating thing here is the "villain" which was supposed to be the evil witch of the story I think, but I guarantee the leads will soon sooth that frustration away for you haha xD
As much as I would love to have another season of PC, it's almost certain to never happen. And I would truly love…
haha thank you for the explanation, I'm aware that the possibility for any kind of sequel is pretty close to zero, almost all the doramas I wish for sequels never got any, especially rom-coms lol. As for NigeHaji, they might want to milk the marriage, but I think from the beginning its possibility for a sequel had always been higher than any other rom-com jdramas because of the high ratings and the viral of the theme song/dance. Well, in the end it's always about how much money and profits they can make with a sequel.
But if I could name an exception, it'd be Tokyo Tarareba Musume. The drama's rating was rather average and the special released 3 years later, I don't know what happened there lol (I really appreciated its special episode though). Since then it has always been the core to my hope for any rom-com sequels. I know it was from a different TV station, but yeah, a fan always hope ;-)
P.s: I love your review! Also, seeing you describe the couple as "being functional, bicker and solve their issues for another season" makes my desire to see the sequel x100 times now haha
of course there has to be at least one review from a "woke" user that points out all the "problems" with the drama lol anyway, this has been a fun ride. i initially thought it would be just another silly rom-com but in the end the 2 leads has grown a lot on me. the ending was lovely, the story still has a lot of potential for a sequel though, hopefully they will make a special episode sometimes later, i'd love to see it.
one of the best love confessions i've seen on films (not only from the characters, but also from the people behind this movie to cinema itself). greatly enjoyed it. 9/10
man, the fact that they got Yuriko and Arata for a thriller mystery romance drama and now Utada Hikaru for the theme song... are you kidding me, they already won. (seriously, please don't mess this up i'm praying lol)
that professor was such a douchebag, deserved to be punched in the face for 10 more times. "to fear love is to fear life" my ass, just stfu. Haruna sweetie, i'm sorry you had to experience that.
I didn't enjoy the Korean version when I saw it a few years ago, but the Japanese adaptation is quite good! So…
Same, i couldn’t finish the Korean one (never watched the last 2 episodes) because i couldn’t stand the ML and didn’t want the leads to end up together. But here i am, totally in love with the 2 leads and 100% rooting for them to be together till the end. Their chemistry was amazing lol
what a cute ending. i'm quite satisfied, still not sure about Higuchi's whereabout though? anyone cares to explain? where is he and what's he doing there for? seems like that foreign guy doesn't know about Higuchi's identity though. it's so vague and weird lol
also THAT KISS. damn. the level is UP in the sky with this one.
