I'm the same when it comes to the characters if I don't like them I won't watch. My major draw is how the writers write the ML and FL. If they are toxic and annoying that's it not watching lol. Oh about Lusi I love her she's such a good actress! It's easy to compare her to others. My fave. I think aside from Landy Li, Dilraba(watching her on The Blue Whisper she's good) and Yang Zi make me feel as much as she does. I'll see how I feel about LBFAD if I ever get around to it.

That's why I'm a bit apprehensive of watching LBFAD I hate weak, childish FL's(Tho I heard she also changes.) That's why I loved Yetan from the beginning because she never seemed either of those things to me. Still, I've heard so many good things about it that I'll eventually give it a try. Inevitable to compare YQ to all ML's esp since alot of them are toxic in their own way. Agreed CXX and LLD and the writers did such a great job of making them real. That's why we are all still stuck here lol.

He is and I love him even more because he knows how to choose his roles. I love it when actors switch between character arch types. I love Li Hong Yi and Ryan Ding but both seem to choose the same character types over and over again. That's not gonna give them a lot of favors in the long run.

Wow? He's toxic? The way some people talk about him it's like he's the perfect ML from what I've seen online. I guess they like him because he may change later. But still kinda surprising that they have a toxic relationship haha. From clips, it's not that obvious that he is. Or, I haven't watched the right ones yet XD. Yep I loved that about Youqin and Yetan that he never protects her by hurting her, when he kinda did ep 25, he clears it up quick and explains he was protecting their love. His way of protecting her is much better because it's that: "I'll fight the entire world for you, openly." Which is the best kind of course.

True even when he pretended to not remember the mortal arc, he clears that up real quick! Open book with her thru and thru. We need more ML's like him. Although YQ being the only one will make him more special.

One good thing is that he ended up being a laughingstock. He lost his son for good, because I think YQ only "fogave" him because he gave him the means to get his wife back. But per the end he doesn't live in the realm anymore or rarely visits either. His mom and sibs come to him.

Xianxia unfortunately prefers the toxic ML's. Blue Whisperer has one although not entirely by his own choice that he becomes this way. And I haven't seen either LBFAD(Just music vids and clips) or IS but I heard IS has another toxic ML. YQ was one of his kind and yeah I think we won't get similar ML's any time soon. A lot of upcoming Xianxia's have betrayal in them so... I will treasure Youqin even more because of that.

True in a lot of the cdramas I've watched either the ML is toxic or there's misunderstandings galore. YQ &YT were rare and so special because of that.

Tan and Qin's loving and healthy relationship is what makes me love this series so much. They were put thru the ringer but always stayed firm in their love. I love that. I like angst but I admit when it gets heavy it's emotionally exhausting. Must prepare myself with TBW haha.

I saw that last year had some very good Xianxias like: Love Between Fairy and Devil, Blue Whisperer and Immortal Samsara. I hope this year is the same too. Well, the year kicked off pretty good with The Starry Love hopefully there's more like this coming up. Although it's still very hard to move on from TSL, I'm looking forward to other ones coming up. Will I love them as much as TSL???? Who knows lol. We will see.

I just wish someone else (HE)would have gotten that same ending. Watching eps 35-37 in their entirety makes me hate that "redemption" even more.

Yes I loved the chemistry between Ryan and Lusi up there with my favorite pairings. I wonder if we'll ever see them together again? guess have to wait and see.

Ahh the endng a little bit rushed but at the same time I love how it was done.

I saw some clips and it's gonna hurt :(. TSL managed to ramp up the angst in the last episodes but never putting Youqin and Yetan against each other. Seems like Blue Whisperer keeps the angst but goes in the complete other direction than TSL did.

Yes! I loved how that was done. That's why Youqin and Yetan are my favorite couple. Their love is that powerful. Nothing can really keep them apart.
