HE did not deserve a redemption arc. He struck his son from the back, he erased his son’s memory… unforgivable!
100% agree. If anything the Void Tyrant being redeemed would have made more sense. yes, he was horrible, but I always thought he cared about his children more than the pos HE.
I think another reason why Tan didn't head to the Heavenly Realm first aside from her revenge is because she didn't have an army. She couldn't face the HE alone since her power did not work against him. She needed backup and the Void Army was the best bet.
Ep 36. It was incredibly satisfying to see Yetan kill the Void Tyrant while Consort Xue killed the Empress. Ok, I kinda felt bad for the Empress when she said she couldn't avenge her son. But it was her fault he died so whatever. And she got what she deserved for also being a pos. Watching her destroy the necklace with a piece of Qingkui's soul hurt. Why so much pain to CF and QK? gosh. I cheered when YT destroyed that awful servant who killed our Man Man. Not laughing anymore as she tortures you to death ey? Perfect death. The Void Tyrant also got a fitting end. I think Tan would have spared him if he would have shown any repentment and feelings for CF and his mother. Yetan is so strong I love how she allowed herself to grieve but then stood up and got down to business. Favorite female lead for sure. I do wish she would have asked where her husband was tho. But I guess her mind was too focused on revenge to allow herself a moment of weakness. I think had she allowed herself to worry about Youqin's safety she would have been more concerned about getting him back than heading to the Void first. And that was her main concern. Speaking of Youqin I facking hate his piece of shat father what a disgusting character he is. Try as he might tho he can't erase Youqin's love for Yetan only momentarily but not forever. I can't wait to see ep 38 in its entirety to see YQ regain his memory and stand against his stupid father with the woman he loves. So, I can laugh in the HE's face. Love how the people dearest and closest to him were trying to get him to remember his wife. They all see this as unfair and want him to be who he really is. It hurt to see Youqin so void of emotion glad that doesn't last long.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The thing that these "fans" don't understand is while hating on their faves costar they are only bringing bad juju to their faves work too. At the end of the day that is their partner in the projects. They are humans who are hardworking and do this for the enjoyment of others, because they love it. Let them do it peacefully. That's why CXX and LLD not being traffic stars worked. None of that juju here. Thankfully looks like as of now both are loved equally: awesome. Same with HXL and LC
Out of all three soul shards, I think the one Yetan was attracted to the most is Wenren. The keyword here is attraction…
I also think it was her feelings for Wenren that really helped her see that she was in love with all 3 hence she was truly in love with Shaodian Youqin.
