I don't hate him either just not liking him too much rn but he's obviously gonna grow as a character so I'm interested to see how. HS' was one of my fave developments in The Romance of Tiger and Rose let's see how they handle Ning Yuxuan's.

On ep 3 and man is the ml in this one is not likable. I get that his wife was a horrible woman but letting her be in danger like that? Um...From the closing credits I get that he’s gonna change but I want good character development for him so we’ll see. At least the whip scene was just to scare her & didn’t really lead nowhere. It also doesn’t help that I have constant Shaodian Youqin comparisons in my head lol. Even when YQ didn’t like YT he was never this nasty to her, he protected Tan from the get go. At least Yuxuan redeemed himself a tiny bit at the end but keeping the truth hidden is so stupid. YX gives me heavy Han Shuo vibes not only the costumes but the personalities are similar 😂. Wonder if his character development will be similar to Han Shuo’s? Guess we’ll see. One bright spot I’m really loving the FL. And Ugh Wen is gonna be the biatch I despise in this drama. 😂

Eek on ep 35 today. I don’t want the heartache 😂😂😂. Think I’ll watch something else before I watch ep 35.

Done. Not as bad as the rating here makes it seem. Is it perfect? No. But I enjoyed it pretty much. I felt like I was watching a soap opera and in the end I think that's what it was meant to be. Or as I would call this: a Popcorn Drama where you are not meant to over think or analyze, just sit back and enjoy the campiness.

It's gonna be really hard to find another ML like Shaodian Youqin or anyone who can top him tbh. He was the best of the best. His love for Yetan was so great to watch he loved her so much.

The FL is good she’s smart and a little cunning. At least she’s not weak or annoying

The FL time travels to ancient times and takes over the body of the ML's wife in the novel. That's why it may be confusing since it's missing that big part of the story. I wonder if they'll use another explanation in the drama since time travel is taboo in China now. Like why even make the drama if they are gonna censor the frack out of it ffs. Same thing with Chongzi. Tho that drama was pretty awful censorship or not.

I really, really hope this airs once either Romance of a Twin Flower or Royal Rumors are finished airing. Been waiting forever. Knowing Tencent tho, they won't air this til the end of the year, bleh.

I think people are just fed up with the annoying, childish FL's. There's been way sooo many lately that people are tired of rooting for them in dramas.

Yes both relationships were so healthy and supportive. Tho Youqin and Yetan were my faves Chaofeng and Qingkui were equally as good.
