I ended up liking them both in the end. The writing did a good job in redeeming them. But ugh when I rewatch all that dislike that I had for him comes back lol. Same with Fu Ling actually. It's like they are completely different characters to me.

I hope it does because it deserves it.

On episode 2 and this is going to be another one where I'm going to hate the Eternals/Immortals isn't it? It's always the Immortals except if the ML is an immortal and even then haha.

MM handled things differently and I really liked that.

A few times that their arc is written well. Sometimes it's way too fast and sometimes it takes way too long for the leads to fall for each other. Here it was handled just right. Mumu's amnesia was the first time I like this trope because he was so cute, and it actually led somewhere in the overall arc.

Yep his feelings are there since the beginning. They change from dislike to attraction, to like to love. Her father's death is the first time that bonds them. And Mumu was smart he was also the interation of FY's feelings for her.

I think he stopped caring about protecting the stone more than her after her father dies. FY def has a change after that. Mumu helped him see those feelings and so did Tian Huo. Love when Mumu asks: "When did Fan Yue fall in love with Bai Shou?" he knows the feelings are there.

ARP has good energy so we will see how his cp is with SZN.

yeah, long hair wigs are the best. I hated his wig in WCRG. That thing was ugly and made him look not too handsome. Maybe the eye makeup was missing too.

Another thing about rewatching the beginning is how freaking annoying and infuriating Chong Zhao is. Like can't he get the hints Bai Shou sends him indirectly and not so indirectly that she doesn't see him that way? UGH. He's too busy ignoring her feelings and trying to control her to I guess bah. Someone didn't like (when it was airing) that I pointed out he was stupid for liking someone who didn't like him back for years instead of investigating fully who had left him those letters. It's because he was. BS was very obvious that she had no feelings for him other than friendship and he kept pestering her pfft. At least he grows up later. And thanks to that I'm able to like him better. When I rewatch tho I hate him as much as I did when these eps first aired.

haha BS made sure to let CZ know she didn't want him early one even before FY came into the picture.

I think next year since they barely finished filming. It takes a year or more to get approved. modern dramas are easier. VZ was dull in TBL. He needs better characters IA.

She caught his attention the moment she pulled him to her during their first meeting. He liked her fiery side and how strong she was. Def someone he'd never met before hence why he's attracted to her early on. TH had an eye she knew he loved Bai Shou before he did LOL. Yep their past led them to find each other again and fall in love. Tho this time, like you say with who they are in this lifetime.
