Chong Shou annoys the heck out of me. All he does is whine, whine, whine and do nothing. The scene in ep 8 where he stands there with his mouth open, useless doing nothing while she is basically threatened. Man, I wanted to slap him. He could have stepped up for her for once, lied and said she was with him but of course he did nothing once again. I'm so glad that Fan Yue was there for her because who knows what would have happened had he not protected her in that moment. And he still has the gall to look down on FY? ugh.
I may change my mind on CZ later on but right now I can't stand him.

I think I see why Fan Yue will fall in love first in this lifetime. Aside from Bai Shou being a formidable woman, I think since in their Deity life (ALP) she loved him first and he realized it too late. This time it's introverted so I wonder if Bai Shou won't realize she loves him until it may be too late? hmm. Or she'll fall in love gradually too while hiding it for revenge purposes.

what an episode. All thru that first half hour I kept thinking he's not dead. What is going on? But then he kind of was dead and was brought back to life by Jianglan. But is he being controlled by that witcher? Qian had that dream for a reason.
Lord Wei and Qian are precious. He really loves him. And Ningyan sees him as someone who he admires wholly. The way LW stood up for XQA in front of all those corrupt court officials was awesome!
I'm also wondering if the Emperor is a puppet for a bigger cause he seems to be descending into madness out of nowhere. And I believe that hooded man in the battle memory is XQA's father.

And all I can say as awful and horrible as life was for women who were seen as childbearing wife slaves even by their own fathers, life was even horrible for certain men. I feel so bad for Liu Chang as much as I didn’t like him in the first episodes I can’t help and realize that he’s just a victim of his horrible family, just like Mudan is of society and customs. Miles is such a good actor, amazing! Watching these stories it makes me glad that I wasn’t born in those times. We have come a long way tho we still have a long way to go.

Don’t get the point of that. I’m watching both and loving both. I’m also watching The Blossoming Love tho I admit I don’t like it as much as the other two. There’s no need to down vote one yo hype the other. Both are equally good in different ways and different genres.

Haven’t read the novel but I’ve seen that it’s Memory loss. Not sure how but he lost all his memories and became Fan Yue.

Didn’t exactly mean romantically obsessed he doesn’t let her go. Sure he may have reasons but I’m sure he can find someone better. Hadn’t thought that he may think she’s his daughter that makes sense why he won’t leave her alone.

I just saw how Yue Mi died in ALP having confessed her love to Tianqi. Got to say that it’s beautiful how they found each other again. Even though they don’t remember their past lives(and for copyright reasons they probably won’t.). Sigh. Though it’s going to be an angst, hard road once again. Love is a powerful emotion.

This. They have some strong chemistry going on.

saw the previews for eps 8 & 9 and they are going to be good. Can't wait for tomorrow.

I watched Blossom and have been watching MM since it's premiere. I love it, has me hooked.

It's great how ALP literally spans 3 big love stories(worlds): ALP/TLI/MM.

I'm sorry but SanQi is so annoying. His obsession with Mu Xuangling brings him down as a villain for me. Maybe it's because I've seen these kinds of villains too much in Latin telenovelas that they don't seem formidable to me anymore I dunno. Yes, he does evil things and for the most part gets what he wants but him being obsessed with MXL is over the top for me.

I think for those wanting to watch strickly a romance drama. GoTD is not for you. Romance is very secondary here though the leads have great chemistry. If a drama with romance as a secondary plot doesn't bother you then give it a chance it's worth it. Such a good drama with action, mystery, comedy and a bit of romance. I'd say one of the best from 2024. The characters are amazing too. If not there are pure romance dramas airing currently, that might be more your cup of tea.

There is romance but:
1) very slow build as the story is male centric.
2) it is very secondary. It affects the plot but not in a big way.
I think after ep 23 it may or may not change in that area.
