Drama holds a special place in my heart for the heartwarming characters, Hai Chao and Ziqiu were easily the most…
Yes, there are many lessons here watching Li Haichao and Ziqiu, their attitudes towards life. Despite both of them having gone through so much (Li Haichao losing his wife and an unborn child, Ziqiu's mother abandoning him), they still come out good as a person. They don't sink into depression or self-pity. That's the life lesson Li Haichao has taught Ziqiu - taking bad thing happens as a blessing in disguise.
Is there a reason all the women in the series are evil, selfish, nosy, clueless?
It appears that way -- the motherly figures are nasty. However, it also shows all the fatherly figures, except Li Haichao, useless, skipping their responsibility most of the times, running away from reality, which is not totally untrue in the real world. Many fathers do feel that they're only responsible to make money for the family. The rest is not their responsibility because it is really hard, time-consuming and tiring raising a family; they throw everything to their partners.
I feel really sad for Qi Mingyue's mother. I see her resembling many mothers in our society - hardworking, whole-heartedly devoted to raising the family, only to find that their hardwork is down the drain with husbands divorcing them for various reasons (husbands having affairs, wives too old & ugly, no love etc) .
I guess, it's kind of reflecting the real society these days, especially in China. Many people, especially parents, seek wealth, fame, prestige, materialism for their children. The competition to be above from the crowd is so huge that it wrecks havoc to many youngsters. I really feel sorry for them living under such pressure daily.
I am not really happy with voice over for Cheng Ye’s character. Really disappointed.
The sound system in this drama is not that good. There's a lot of background noises, and the same dialogues can have different volume and tone from the same speakers.
Yes, up until now at episode 12, it's just sorrow after sorrow. This drama is tormenting to watch but Cheng Yi's…
My heart is like a marsh mallow. I cry even watching Tom & Jerry. This series indeed is very sad, but I can see a sliver of hope. In between episodes, I watch Marry Me to wash off the sadness.
Why do they always stigmatize that girls get poorer grades in school compared to boys? Apart from In A Class of Her Own, most dramas, modern or historical, portray girls so negatively in academics, even to the extent that they're rather stupid, only thinking about boys all the time. This is so untrue, humiliating and degrading.
Is this drama any good? I'm not that into poetry so I'm scared that it's boring but currently I'm only watching…
This is quite an interesting watch, focusing on equality for all. It's light-hearted and cute. The fight choreography is pretty good. The chemistry between the leads is good too. I'm enjoying it a lot after finishing Maiden Holmes.
I am surprised it did well online viewing. I just can't get into the drama. I don't like ZXL hair style here,…
That's so true about a drama clicking with the viewers. I had a hard time watching passed episode 2. But now, it's moving. I'm beginning to like it a lot. So maybe you want to give it a second chance :)
