For Zi Qiu, he has no idea what having a girl friend is all about. In the later episodes, you'd see he messes around just like a brother with a little sister. It's hilarious. How he treats Jianjian is totally different from how Ling Xiao treats her. Ling Xiao would hold Jianjian in his hands, fearing of breaking her; Zi Qiu would have crazy fights with her with choke holds etc.

Guarantee that there won't be a love triangle. Ziqiu just needs to figure things out. Give him time. He's very immature in this. He would remember and understand what his mother tells him once, and the reasons for not marrying Li Ba. He will figure it out eventually. Don't worry.

Yes, there's so much admiration for Ling Xiao from Jianjian. I can't understand why some viewers keep saying there's no romance and they shouldn't be together.

Jianjian is tormented. Deep inside, she loves Ling Xiao but she's not sure what it is or if it is appropriate for her to love him. That's why she keeps saying they are not her real brothers, because having a romantic relationship with a real brother is awkward.

The writers' have dropped a big hint on their relationship. When Ling Xiao rescues Jianjian from the kidnappers, the kids bow to each other 3 times, as in marriages. The neighbors comment this can be a wa-wa-qin (child wedding). So in a way, they're betrothed to each other unintentionally.

Oh yes, she is constantly, either openly or subtly, doing things for Ling Xiao that she doesn't do for Zi Qiu. She constantly waits for Ling Xiao to return and clings onto him. Subconsciously she's in love with him, without knowing it.
