ML loves FL but ML also has a betrothed who loves him. Then brilliantly he changes the relationship into a sibling relationship with his betrothed hence getting out from the marriage.

She becomes his sister :)

It's kind of confusing at times. I need to re-watch some scenes to understand ... and it's a love triangle...

No battles, and the palace politics are not like what we see in other palace politics, low and nasty for dramatic effects; the politics here are more on different point of views and government policies, and a lot of these are subtle and one has to read in between the lines.

Same here, but it's kind of getting addictive. I can't even be sure if Lin Jing is just a front. By episode 3, there's already a lot mysteries and the plot seems getting intense.

OMG! Ren Jialun is so cute here, like a little boy :)

Just started this. Is it supposed to be funny? Why does everyone including the usually sour face Allen Ren take everything so lightly?
