Despite all my grievances towards this drama which I should have dropped eons ago, I'm pressing on, all because I'm so obsessed with my scene - Tou and Xuezhi fighting hand in hand and rid all the dead woods in the wulin. Still waiting. If you have finished the series, please don't spoil it for me whether it happens or not because this is the last straw for me to continue.
Good grief! He comes back as Yu Chuzhi looking exactly like Shangguan Tou, expecting everybody to believe he's not Shangguan Tou. Can't he even disguise himself like with a beard or something? Only fools would believe what he says he is. The director is making us the viewers look stupid.
Shangguan Tou is such a promising character. By Episode 35, the script writer has massacred him. Instead of becoming better, he becomes indecisive, rash, and lost - he's a total mess (for lack of better words).
Sigh! Episode 33, still more talk, more love confirmation but saying the opposite, more heroic complex "for her own good" cliche. Where are you script writer? You need a knock on the head.
Here we go again, episodes 31 and 32. More talk, more confirmation about the OTP's love for each other. I feel like strangling someone!
The story is pretty good, the love is good, but, all this confirmation of love, OMG! I think the scriptwriter is herself feeling so insecure that she needs all the confirmation again and again.
What? I hear my name mentioned. Yeah, I watch dramas whenever I feel stress. Trying to get my mind off all the crazies going on out there. But I'm watching a few dramas concurrently so I can't guarantee I'd get ahead of you. XD.
Man, when Tou handed Xue Zhi over to Mu Yuan so they can return to the Fire Palace was heartbreaking. MY MAN STOOD…
Mark Chao's kisses are nothing compared to Alen Fang's XD. Go watch a few clips of Love by Hypnotic then you'll see what I mean. It may sound silly for actors to break up over kissing scenes, but unfortunately this can be true because Chinese people take kissing quite differently (more seriously) from western people.
"Oil is coming out from my ears if I continue to listen to these sames words again."HAHAHAHA This is both funny…
I have not read the original novel but according to many who have, it seems that this drama has made the novel unrecognizable. I wonder why they bother to "adapt from the novel" at all. Might as well write a different story from scratch. Perhaps they try to capture the readers as their viewers.
I get it that they're trying to build a concrete image in our mind that this OTP is solid, but using 30 (as of now) out of 48 episodes to do it? Yeah, oil is coming out from my ears (it's a very common Chinese saying). Have you ever been nagged on by your elders in the family? When it's too much, your mind tends to shut it out. That's the feeling I get. When candy is spread all over the place all the time, I doubt if anyone would want to pick it up anymore because it (the candy) has become sickening.
I'm still not giving up on this drama. I still want to see the moment I've been waiting for - not the bed scene (sorry to disappoint you XD) - but the scene when both are powerful and combat all the annoying sects and solving the conspiracy together hand in hand. Chong Xue Zhi is only 17. I don't want her to be pregnant just yet. I want her to do good for the world, hand in hand with Shangguan Tou, and enjoy their carefree life for a bit.

Have you watched Love by Hypnotic? They have very passionate kisses in that drama. So I don't think it's the censorship. I think it depends on the actors if they want to do it or not. Who knows both Leo and Yukee have their other halves and they (their partners) feel betrayed if they (the actors) are too into the kissing scenes. Many acting couples break up for this reason - kissing another actors.

LOL! Chinese are the shy type, on the outside.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It's hard to relate when they're trying to tell us how much a couple loves and wants each other, but as viewers we can't see their passion for each other because of the way they kiss. They just look so business like.
I guess kissing is taken quite seriously for the Chinese. I'm not surprised if those actors perform their kissing acts passionately, most of them would be breaking up with their girlfriends/boyfriends, or husbands/wives pretty promptly. Not easy to be in the show biz.
Does this show have a love triangle? I've been really annoyed of love triangles recently so I won't watch this…
Kind of but not exactly. A boy has a crush on a girl, but the other boy (ML) has been in love with the girl for at least 10 years, and she seems to like him (ML) too.
