For myself, I watched the drama first. Then after the drama, I felt so empty, so I started to seek out anything that are related to the drama, hence, the anime, the novel, the manhua and the audio. The story is just intriguing to say the least.

These kisses are real. Even all the Q&A's are suggestive. In real life, if she has a boyfriend and he has a girlfriend, I don't know how they can still be together with their respective other halves after this drama.
It is very difficult to be malicious to another person if one is alone; it takes a group of people. It is therefore very dangerous to succumb to a mob mentality. This is not anything different from what Wei Ying is facing in the drama - everyone gangs up to slander and hurt him, irrespective if he has done anything wrong. We need to come to the realization that some people just want to slander for the sake of slandering, and we should do our best to stop that with the little we can do, starting on this page. We don't want to fan any hatred and hurt anyone, be they the actors themselves or their fans. All actors put in a lot and sacrifice a lot to get where they are. It's not fair if we exacerbate the situation just because we take one word they say out of context, or we are gullible to the words of other malicious persons. As fans, we may want to protect our favorite actors, but doing it at the expense of others is counter productive. Furthermore, over zealous fans can also make our actors' lives hellish, as what Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are currently facing.
The least we can do is, live our own lives as normal people, leave our idols alone to do their work, stay away from any malicious attacks on anyone we may hear from the internet as we have no way to distinguish them as real or fake (might as well don't get involved). I believe these actions are the best we can do for our beloved actors.

Wei Ying gets his flute pretty early on in the story. That's why I'm very convinced that he has fallen in love with Lan Zhan from the very beginning, but never expected Lan Zhan to be in love with him too; it's too unfathomable (Hanguang Jun is also a cut-sleeve?). Therefore, he uses poking fun at Lan Zhan to cover his own feelings for him.
