Title Destiny's Love Spoiler
The ending is very opened ending. It is obvious that ending person is not Chi Yu. It probably her soulmate that…
Are you sure it's not Chi Yu? There's this Chi Yu's "pen" and he took it back from that nasty guy with Hua Shao's help. And I think he reappeared on the same beach as he first met Su Xi.

Can someone spoil the ending for me? (in a comment tagged spoiler, of course)
You need to watch the last 2 episodes. The love between the two is immeasurable. It's sweet and heart-warming.

Title Destiny's Love Spoiler
Can someone spoil the ending for me? (in a comment tagged spoiler, of course)
Chi Yu became mortal. Only mortals can walk through the door of oblivion. Su Xi tried to save Chi Yu, so she exchanged her life with Hua Shao and walked through the door of oblivion. Chi Yu arrived and went through the door. They met at the other side. But Chi Yu didn't want Su Xi to be dead forever, so he pushed her back to earth and she remains alive. He himself disappeared into oblivion. Weeks or months pass. Su Xi still misses Chi Yu dearly. Then one day, Chi Yu's "heavenly pen" appears on the beach, and a pair of man's legs standing next to it, alluding that Chi Yu is back. The End.

Come on, peeps! This drama deserves a better rating #!
Agree! The acting is fabulous. Just because the actual Hao Lan character may not be savory for some, it doesn't mean this is not a good drama. If drama like "The Legends" gets 8.7 rating, this drama should beat that if not close.
On Good Bye, My Princess Apr 12, 2019
Hey folks, any recommendations for another good and recent/airing drama, especially costume/historical ones? For now, good contemporary dramas are also acceptable. Need to widen my horizon to include Korean, Japanese and Thai dramas too. I need to get over this one.

In the crying scene, he was saying something like, "I can't stand it anymore. I almost fainted. It was so painful." - or something to that effect.

Chen Xing Xu is such a good actor. He's young and yet his acting is so matured.

Dropped at ep15. Maybe I'm the only one, but I couldn't feel any emotional attachment to the story or the characters.
This is the thing with this drama - some people love it and some hate it. So you're not alone.

This drama may also give you a nostalgic feeling, as it does for me. It may even make you search within yourself. Whatever happened in the past, life still goes on, as in "Autumn is gone, spring is here. Dreaming and awakening takes turn."

Yes, beautiful song, giving me a nostalgic feeling, especially the part that was sung in ethnic language (what language was it?). Was that Chen Xing Xu standing next to the camera holder (3:56)?

Can someone please tell me if this drama ends sad?
This drama is tagged as tragedy, so you should brace yourself for a tragic ending. Having said that, I love the ending. It's beautiful and justified. You should watch this drama to appreciate it.

I've had this drama in my Plan To Watch List for a while, but I'm still not sure if this drama is worth starting…
This is one of the very few dramas that has a lot of depth with a few very complex characters, in particular the main male character. After watching it, you'll find your heart ache, you may very well have a love/hate relationship with the main male character, and a very fond relationship with the other secondary characters. You may find yourself thinking about the drama for days, if not weeks (it's been more than 2 weeks since I finished the whole drama, I still find myself talking about it, a lot).

Acting wise, the main leads are very impressive, especially Peng Xiao Ran and Chen Xing Xu. Peng Xiao Ran playing the role of Xiao Feng, was so pure and beautiful. Whereas Chen Xing Xu, portraying Li Chen Yin, was simply incredible - he can be a playful boyish character at one moment, then switch to a cold, scheming personality the next. The palace plot and back stabbing would keep you at the edge of your chair.

The sound tracks are the most unforgettable components of the whole drama - beautiful music playing at appropriate scenes, adding to the sorrow and longing of the story.

This drama should have received a much higher rating than the current 8.4. If you value good quality production, this drama is a must-watch.

Yeah, I know. This is too easy to let go of LCY. He should receive some sort of retribution, one way or another, to redeem his wrongs. Then only we can forgive him. And at the end, it's a happily ever after story.

The last scene with the kids (siblings) playing pretend as husband and wife is ...... ridiculous. Why did the director do that?
