Is it wrong that I want a modern version of this story, like the king of blaze? I mean anything is better than…
A modern version may not be as heart-wrenching as this one. I don't think the modern ladies would want to be used as puppets, to be manipulated like this without putting up a fight. A modern day Li Chen Yin would have had his bu** kicked long time ago.

Watching episode 48 and thinking that maybe XF , deep down in her heart, want GJ to die. I mean, she can just…
Everybody, except the two - Li Chen Yin and Xiao Feng, knows everything that had happened and yet no one says anything, especially General Pei. He could have told Li Chen Yin that Gu Xiao Wu was he himself and not Gu Jian. He could have revealed what had happened to Li Chen Yin (like his memory lost by jumping into the Wang Juang Hu, he was the one who cheated Xiao Feng and led to the decimation of her tribe etc). Then all these unnecessary killings could have been avoided. But then, with the current flow, that's how the story has to develop to stir up our emotions and makes us boil.

As far as I'm concerned, in the last episode, Episode 52, though Xiao Feng slit her own throat, she might not…
I really don't have any idea on this. The ending tends to show there's still something going on. We just have to use our imagination.

Does he ever get his memory back of betraying her and killing her grandfather in the final episodes?
That's the thing that bugs me most - even after he regains his memory, he knows he had killed her tribe, he shows no remorse. I don't get it.

Watching this drama to heal my sodden mushy heart after watching "Goodbye My Princess". This drama is my panacea. It is cute, sweet, light-hearted, funny and happy, what a much needed contrast.

So I'm currently binge watching Destiny's Love, trying to catch up with all the episodes that being aired. I normally don't watch contemporary dramas, but I need a break to heal from "Goodbye My Princess".
My verdict so far for "Destiny's Love": It's a simple, light-hearted, funny drama - a true panacea for my broken heart at this moment. It switches in and out from modern days and historical. It also has a Korean equivalent (I don't know the title). The theme itself is not new, but suits my bruised soul just fine.

Although this drama made me had a headache at some points, it was a good drama.I heard that the male actor actually…
Yes, Chen Xing Xu is such a wonderful actor. He captures love, hatred, kindness, cruelty, playfulness, seriousness, freedom, constraint, joy, pain, confidence disappointment - all of these emotions with no problem.

He has a beautiful voice. Such a talented entertainer. He's new to me. I need to watch out more for him.

How to heal your broken fragile hearts after watching this drama:
1) Come back to this forum multiple times a day to seek solace from equally broken hearts like yours.
2) Re-watch the drama and try to better understand the Li Chen Yin's character so that you don't hate him as much as before.
3) Try to love the Li Chen Yin's character by pitying him.
4) Binge watch another drama.
More suggestions welcome.

I know what you mean. When I first started with Chinese dramas, I couldn't understand many of their logic, why they do and say certain things; they just didn't make sense to me. But after sometime, I began to understand how they view the world especially in their dramas. I began to enjoy them, letting go of the small little logic that doesn't make sense to me. If the logic were too flawed and I cannot accept, then I'd drop the dramas.

I don't particularly hate SeSe because she was also a victim in this vicious political struggle. She was just a poor little woman who waited for the return of her man every night, not unlike many Asian women used to do. For women these days, we kicked these men's a%^&.

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
Here's the finale, Episode 52. Enjoy!
Episode 52
Li Chen Yin finally woke up after 7 days and 7 nights in the palace. The first thing he asked was where Xiao Feng was.
General Gao had joined forces with the new king of the Western Kingdom (Xiao Feng’s brother) to rebel against Ri Chao (Li Chen Yin’s kingdom). They also tried to pull in General Zhao, who was now the DanZhi King (SeSe’s father). General Zhao pretended to join them, but behind he had his own agenda. He figured if Li Chen Yin became the emperor, his daughter would become the empress, be she insane or not. Then he, General Zhao, would wield all the power none could match when he returned to Ri Chao.
Xiao Feng tried to stop the war. She saw refugees everywhere. Xiao Feng finally understood her role as a princess married to another country in order to maintain peace for both countries. She felt guilty that she had caused the war. She and Adu decided that no matter what, they had to stop the war, even death, and there’d be no regrets (man! Girls are strong!)
Li Chen Yin led his army to suppress the rebellion.
Adu assassinated General Gao. She also died. Xiao Feng woke up in a sweat. She searched for Adu. The King (Xiao Feng’s brother)'s man came in to announce the death of General Gao and the assassin. At that moment, Xiao Feng knew it was Adu. She was devastated. She hugged Adu in her arms.
Day break, the war was about to start. As the soldiers were waiting for their commands, Xiao Feng came riding a horse, charging into the middle. She brought General Gao’s severed head (it’s grose). She told General Gao’s men that they’d been brought into a war that they didn’t want. All of them had been lied to by the devious General Gao. She threatened to kill herself with her sword if anyone dared come close to her.
After talking to her brother to lay down arms, she turned to Li Chen Yin. It was another painful heart-wrenching speech. She revealed how much she loved him, only him. You have to watch the rest of the speech yourself. It will make you cry. In the end, she asked for the 2 more things he promised he would do for her. She made him promise that he would not invade Western Kingdom anymore for the rest of his life. Lastly, he had to continue living. Then she slit her jugular vein in front of all. She was bleeding profusely in Li Chen Yin’s arms and passed out (died?) Li Chen Yin was crying his heart out, screaming and shouting (it was heart-wrenching). Xiao Feng’s brother came, pushed off Li Chen Yin and carried Xiao Feng away.
Sometime later, Li Cheng Yin became the Emperor. Decades later (like 30 years, maybe), he abdicated himself and gave the throne to his 3rd brother’s oldest son. (It didn’t seem Li Cheng Yin had remarried or had any children.) He told General Pei that he had more important thing to do – that was, to look for Xiao Feng. He didn’t believe she had died. Then he became a hobo, wandering the great plains and the desert, in search of his lost love.
At the very ending, Xiao Feng was sitting on the sand dune, waiting for someone. Comes the "Little Fox" tune - so fitting. Was it just a flash-back, a hallucination, or Xiao Feng in real? I’d like to think that it was Xiao Feng in person – she didn’t die. He was going to find her and they lived out their 3rd life happily ever after.
Dear fans of “Goodbye My Princess”, if you were Xiao Feng, what would you do? After 30 years, would you put down all the hatred, and fall back in love with Li Chen Yin and elope with him?

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
Here's a summary of Episode 51:
Episode 51
Xiao Feng was rearrested. Standing right in front of Li Chen Yin with SeSe, Li Chen Yin was mad at SeSe and wanted to punish her, but Xiao Feng came to her defense. SeSe rubbed it in by saying Xiao Feng had never loved him, and wanted to leave. Li Chen Yi responded that even Xiao Feng’s heart did not have him, she was the only one in his heart. He admitted to SeSe that from the beginning he had been using her. He had never loved her. SeSe walked away, broken-hearted. Xiao Feng told Li Chen Yi that he had just lost the only person who loved him the most in this world.
It’s been 2 years since Xiao Feng came to the palace. She was now 18 years old.
Daily, SeSe waited for Li Chen Yin to come see her. She slowly went insane.
One day, Xiao Feng heard a sad tune of “Little Fox” blown with a flute. She followed the sound and came to the Crown Prince’s chamber. She told him that he sounded so sad as if the whole world had wronged him. Li Chen Yin replied that he could wrong the whole world except her. Xiao Feng told him he didn’t deserve any love from anyone. If he had a little bit of conscience, he wouldn’t have said what he said to SeSe. Love didn’t mean anything to him, but power was all he had wanted. Li Chen Yi said she was the only thing he had ever wanted in his life. But Xiao Feng couldn’t believe him because she felt he had been mean to her all this time and nice to SeSe. She questioned him if he would one day kill her because she threatened his power on the throne. He replied he would not. He would not let anybody harm her. He would always take care of her. She asked him if she wanted him to give up his throne and leave with her even if they die, would he do it? He asked her not to talk death as they would not die. He was broken that she hadn’t loved him, but she said she had always loved him. To his surprised she kissed him. He was overjoyed, but fainted in her arms – her lips were laced with drug (don’t ask me how she could knock him off and not herself. It didn’t seem like a French kiss to me). She said goodbye to him. He was sleeping out cold on the floor. She covered him with warm quilt and left.
Xiao Feng and Adu, dressed in black, about to escape from the palace, but met Yung Niang, her caretaker; she had brought them some golden leaves for their travel expenses. Xiao Feng bid farewell.
When Li Chen Yin woke up from the drug, and found Xiao Feng missing, he went frantic. He ordered all the gates locked and strictly guarded. He posted Xiao Feng’s and Adu’s portraits everywhere.
Milo, the pub owner, helped them by putting them together with a group of Korean merchants, and they easily got through the west gate. They left the Korean merchants, and came to Yu Men Kuan where General Pei was waiting. He was torn; on one hand he had to do his duty, on the other he couldn’t let Xiao Feng continue to suffer. In the end, he let her leave.
As they were leaving the last gate, Li Chen Yin came galloping, ordering closing of the gate. Only Adu made it through. Xiao Feng was trapped. She dismounted and ran up the fort/gate. When Li Chen Yin and General Pei came up, she was standing at the edge of the gate, threatening to jump. (Thereafter, the conversation between Xiao Feng and Li Chen Yin is heart-wrenching and you have to watch it in verbatim.) After she told Li Chen Yin she forgave him, she let herself fall. At that very moment, all his memories came back. He remembered everything he did together with Xiao Feng in Western Kingdom. He wanted to jump after Xiao Feng but was pulled back by General Pei who received a heavy punch from Li Chen Yin. Li Chen Yin was so distraught that he vomited blood and fainted, just as Adu came and rescued Xiao Feng on her horse. They galloped away.
