Title The Trainee
I'm enjoying this show for what it is but I can't blame people for being disappointed. They expected a romance…
I didn't mean to imply you thought people were shallow, that's the vibe I've gotten from some of the comments and also Twitter

I'm getting tired of FLs being cheated on, but this was still a banger of an opener. Good energy, just the right…
I also liked the ML defending the woman from the sexist job interview questions. It hit the issues without hitting you over the head with them.

i think a lot of u need to read this thread about this serieshttps://x.com/chonlatwink/status/1827911555486470369?t=kL-euRSLv_Lt557UVYzW9g&s=19
I'm enjoying this show for what it is but I can't blame people for being disappointed. They expected a romance and instead they got a workplace drama. That doesn't make them shallow, it's just a mismatch between expectations and what's been delivered

Unless it is good precisely because it is telling multiple stories and is not (never was intended to be) a story…
Parbdee, the production company that made this drama, is known for the quality of their work. They won multiple international awards for F4 Thailand and Enigma

I totally agree with that, only if we get to know more about jane and how did he actually started to have feelings…
💯💯💯 all of the characters are underdeveloped but especially Jane, I thought we were going to get a story about him aspiring to be a film director and being frustrated with his job but we got nothing and we don't know anything about him other than he has a poster over his desk for his favorite film. Since he went to school with Judy it would have been great to have a conversation between them discussing the interns but we got zero.

I'm pretty sure Jo is an avatar for Patha Thongpan who is one of the founders of Parbdee

So... when will Jane and Ryan get to know each other? They haven't even had a decent conversation with each other…
I still have no idea why Jane would even like Ryan unless he was so scarred by his ex that he enjoys the attention

Dude, don't pay attention to this person right here !
I finally blocked them, it's too tedious to see them trolling and everyone taking the bait

Plus it was in the third episode! It makes me wonder how cliched the writing will get later.

Ah I understand now, I agree it's a problem, esp the attitude toward Southeast Asians
On Love Next Door Aug 19, 2024
This was a really solid start, I wasn't sure I'd like it because I didn't like hometown Cha Cha Cha by the same writer but the leads are appealing and have chemistry and the conflicts with the parents are interesting. But I hope they don't turn the male lead into a virgin who's never had a girlfriend because he's been pining away for the female lead, that trope is so tired and unrealistic

i saw first episod and they already talk about usa, come on..do we really need to talk about the door in every…
Koreatown in Los Angeles has the largest number of Koreans outside of Korea itself and there are really close ties between the two countries, it totally makes sense for kdramas to feature the US. But apart from that, this episode also discussed France a lot and the male lead was a monolingual French speaker as a child so what you're saying doesn't make much sense in context.

We are 8 episodes in and Ryan still doesn't know how to tie his shoelaces? Please, give him some character development…
The fact that other people had to give him sneakers without laces to solve the problem instead of him doing it for himself is yet another example of how passive Ryan is, it makes me mentally ill I swear

It's showing loud and clear that the relationships with the mothers are as important as the romance
