I'm in love with Jane, probably the best green-flag ML in BL this year. Even though I was excited for the GL pairing,…
Bahmee is so childish that I can't imagine her with Judy. Bahmee and Tae are cute but I think he can do better, he's honestly pretty great and aside from Pie seems to be the most competent intern.
Hello. May I ask where to watch this? I came to Thailand last month and it's weird I can't access to GMM shows…
In Thailand the shows are aired on television without subtitles because it's for a Thai audience. They also make money on local ads so they don't want to make shows available on YouTube the way they do for the international audience. Viu is the streaming service that carries most GMMTV shows in Thailand and they should have English subs.
I'm really enjoying this show as a workplace drama and it is incredibly realistic to how creative businesses are actually run and what a pain in the ass it is to manage interns. I'm especially loving Off who looks incredible and is putting in a great performance as a grown ass adult. But I'm not feeling any kind of chemistry between Jane and Ryan. That moment in the closet made me cringe. Jane is a man and Ryan is a fumbling child. Ryan needs to mature fast for me to buy them in a relationship together. Same with Ba-mhee, she's incredibly immature and her romantic skills feel like grade school level. She can't even manage a real relationship with Tae, how will she make the leap to a relationship with Judy? Yeah, I know I keep saying this but we're already a third of the way through the drama and the romances aren't advancing in any meaningful way, is it going to feel rushed or unrealistic once things really get going? Since everything else about this show is working it would be a shame if they fumbled the romance.
I dropped this but I read that GMMTV brought in a new editing team so out of curiosity I checked out the latest episode and wow it's crazy how much better it looks! They couldn't fix all of the problems with overexposure but the colors are more saturated and the color matching between shots is much better. Also the flow of the story makes more sense. The original director and editing team need a giant smack for how badly they screwed up.
It used to be really common in the early 2000s, kdramas are more conservative now in some ways than they were…
Bedroom scenes, passionate kisses, street scenes where people look sweaty and disheveled because it's hot. No beauty filter, people didn't look impossibly perfect.
Ryan is flat-out annoying. Everything about him irritates me, from his vacuous expressions to his lack of basic…
Slack-jawed child is a perfect description, emphasis on child as in how is a grown adult like Jane going to fall in love with Ryan without it coming across as workplace harassment
I think GMMTV does do stories like what you are describing, just not this story. This is mean to be fluffy. I…
Have you tried Be My Favorite? Even though a lot of the show is set in college it's a mature story, beautifully written and acted. A lot of people disliked the ship and didn't watch which is a damned shame because it's a gem.
I do genuinely like them deconstructing Pie already. I personally have never worked in the advertising industry,…
I agree, I've known a lot of people like Pie, they are high achievers and have done well all through school and then they are rocked when they get their first job. I'm looking forward to seeing how she matures and learns to deal with uncertainty.
redeeming factor for Pie is that though annoying, atleast she shows regret. unlike bamhee šš
Also Pie is actually talented, she's suffering from that thing you see in people who are high achievers but can't handle slowing down and learning the ropes
I love Jane. He gets impatient and he doesn't hold back when someone screws up but he's very smart, he's good at his job and he takes responsibility for his team. Apologizing to the client and not letting the intern take the blame was exactly the right thing to do. Anyone would be lucky to work for someone like him as long as they can shake off getting scolded. It's a pleasure to see Off playing a real adult, he's doing a great job.
Sadly though I can't stand Ryan. I've worked with passive people and it drives me crazy. At his age he should know how to set a damned alarm to wake up on time. Also, the actress who kept leaving the set told him where she'd gone, why didn't he go get her and bring her back? He can't even tie his own shoelaces. I hope the character evolves soon because I am so frustrated with him right now. It doesn't help that I feel like Gun is in a rut with his acting.
At this point Ryan and Bah-mee are so childish that I have no idea how they are going to become romantically involved with Jane and Judy without it coming across as creepy and predatory. But Pah and Pie are cute together, looking forward to seeing how that develops.
