Not under the romanization rules that have been in place since 2000. They only keep the L if it's a family name like Lee.

This has been making me a little mental: MDL has the wrong name for the daughter. They spell it Yi Na but it should be spelled I-na the way it is in the Netflix subtitles. In Korean it's spelled 이나, 이 sounds like ee not yee. I hope people start spelling it correctly, my eye is starting to twitch every time I see it wrong.

I hate MDL ratings so I won't say what it's worth but for me it's on track to be the best drama of the year (won't know for sure until it finishes and we find out if it sticks the landing). It has complex & interesting characters, a tight plot that makes sense with no filler or dead spots, creative cinematography and one of the best OSTs I've ever heard.

Don't worry about liking her yet. You're not supposed to at this point of the story. She does get better and you eventually get an explanation for why she's behaving the way she is. It's really well done so I hate to spoil it for you more than that.

I'd watch regardless of how popular it is but I do love seeing innovative storytelling getting recognition and gaining an audience.

It's a complex story told extremely well but complex stories are hard to break down into 30 second clips. I think it's telling that most of the fan edits are about Ina's romance which to me is the most conventional part of the story.

They are freakin' adorable and have the best dynamic: Cher is responsible but sassy and Oye is a little dumb but horny

If you're open to Thai BLs, Be My Favorite is fantastic. They kept the time slips very simple and the story is about the ML lead maturing and taking responsibility for his life. The romance is swoony. I absolutely loved it.

Atypical Family is in the Netflix top 10 list for non English series so it's definitely popular, it's just that the fan base is mostly not hyperventilating on TikTok and Twitter. I've noticed that the number of people talking about it on Reddit is increasing every week and now that Lovely Runner is done I think a lot more people will start the show

I agree with everything you wrote. Just wanted to add that I cannot believe they used the truck of doom to take out the killer. That was the laziest writing I've seen in ages. And SJ and Sol weren't even there when it happened after everything they went through over four timeskips to avoid him.
