On The Undateables Apr 26, 2022
The female lead pretty much spends the first few episodes screeching like a stuck pig, blind drunk or grabbing onto people (male, female, it doesn't matter). In real life, she'd be in a mental health facility, but then this is Hwang Jung Eum and this drama has more cliches than a very cliched thing.

Title Taxi Driver
I've only watched a handful of dramas more than once but this is one of them. But it's not for everyone. There's no romance, it's dark humour - tackling some very grim, triggering themes - and it's sometimes a bit cartoonish. But I loved it on the first watch and am discovering new things to like about it on the 3rd (Lee Je-hoon as a tricked out pimp, channelling Jang Hyuk is one such moment). Also, Choi Hyun Wook, who played such a sweetie in 25, 21 is utterly convincing here as a violent, smirking school bully.

if Disney+ has it then nobody outside Korea, maybe a couple of other countries, and a Dachsund called Colin will get to see it.

so you expect a FL character who is a cop to be weak and fragile and lean into ML? lool
No.
On From Now On, Showtime! Apr 25, 2022
I kind of like the story but I wish they hadn't made the FL's character so (a) thick and (b) impulsive/uncontrolled/violent. The taser scene was pure cringe. I know that kdramas often take this route when portraying a 'strong' woman (apparently you can't be strong, composed and intelligent) but I wish they wouldn't.
On My Liberation Notes Apr 24, 2022
So glad that Lee Min-Ki is back nailing an oddball role. I love how expressive he is, how he's not afraid to look homely by pulling faces (like a real person) rather than doing that blank-faced staring thing.

I'm sorry but if you check out her behind the scenes, her youtube, her videos and her photoshoots overall, she…
Thanks, but I already have. That's not a normal, relaxed mouth pose (for her). It's an affectation.
On Sh**ting Stars Apr 24, 2022
I see that the FL still hasn't learnt that duckface belongs to the last decade (possibly the last millennium) and it wasn't 'sexy' even then.

in all honesty, he never was in a good show I hope this one will be good
I think he's a better actor than many non-idols, actually. He was good in Red Sleeve and Good Manager, but he was amazing in Rain or Shine. It's just that the premise of this latest show is just so dull and childish. He needs something where he'll play another complex, nuanced character not the cliche cold chaebol who falls for 'candy'.

crossing my fingers for little to no romance
yeah, it's already an interesting, layered story, lets not shoehorn some badly-executed romance in just to keep the squeakers happy.

For fried chicken, usually yes! For other chicken dishes it's different (닭 - dak)
Thank you. I'm used to random English (e.g. in medical dramas or to denote a pretentious character) but that one threw me!

Is the Korean word for chicken pronounced like the English word?
