The cameos are entertaining. I knew coming in that I found LSK's 4 expressions (pouting, eye-rolling, half-asleep, deer in headlights) somewhat grating, and though that hasn't gone away it's enough of an ensemble piece, so far, to dilute that. I love her journalist friend and the young manager with short hair. I like that it looks at how the gutter press works. I'm hoping we get more of a plot/plots soon.

A lot of them were minors - the youngest 13 or so. Lots of solid historical research on the topic as well as biographies, novels and dramas. On the page for the film I Can Speak some twit has written that it is "anti Japanese propaganda." https://web.archive.org/web/20200816055134/https://apjjf.org/data/2007_press_conference.pdf

It reminds me of Move To Heaven, as well.

I enjoyed most of the story and acting but thought the musical numbers, though well sung/produced, were pretty bland (and, let's face it, cheesy). No songs that I'll hum or remember. Also, very strong Willy Wonka vibes - that's not a criticism, I loved WW (1971 version) smooshed together with High School Musical and interlaced with the usual kdrama tropes of feckless or pushy parents, school bullies, poor girl/rich boy and even childhood connection. And I loved Bella.

"Kye Ji Han is the doctor of Sorak village who hides his warmth under a grumpy personality. Although he makes a bad first impression as someone who seems to be materialistic and obsessed with money, he is actually a sincere person the more you get to know him. Then one day, he will lead Yoo Se Poong towards the path of becoming a true doctor that heals the heart. "

So, Doctor Romantic, Joseon version.

I don't think the mods do much actual moderating. They only seem to appear if it's to have petulant rows with someone trying to fix tags, etc.

You know you're in a Kdrama when . . . instead of calling an ambulance (or something equally sensible) you administer unnecessary CPR, or my personal favourite, grab someone (who possibly has a head injury) by the shoulders, shake then like a wet dog, and scream "Come to your senses" repeatedly into their face,

Yes, it's possibly a satire of the 'white saviour' thing. But if it is, they need to expand on it. Communities across (the continent of) Africa are quite capable of knowing they need clean drinking water, etc. It would be great if they made clear why a celeb, say, trying to improve their image, might invest in something like this.
