it doesn't feel rushed to me - they've known (and liked) each other for 10 years or more. But the childishness of their interactions - given they're both meant to be early 30s - is a bit barfy. I like some of the other couples and the cameos more.

Yeah, she's a piece of work. Despite being a sweet faced old lady. She heaped abuse and neglect on her son's head when he was young, all so she could be a side piece for some twat. I think she's meant to be a shit at this stage. She is competing with all those dinosaurs she (clearly) despises by being as vile as them. I suspect that part of the story arc will be her Finding Redemption (and her better self).

Who was the fabulous older woman in the restaurant? The cast list is not helping.

For every one journalist who is breaking hard-hitting, real news there are 9 ambulance chasers, scandal-mongers and agenda pushers. And not just in Korea, either.

The main couple's romance is very puerile, particularly for two 30-somethings. It has no energy - either in the sense of 'new' love, nor long awaited love. It's as if two 17 year olds are practising for prom. But I love the young enemies-to-lovers couple and the cameos. The cameos are the best bit, in fact.

The main couple is very bland. and twee. But the rest of the cast are fun.

Does this remind anyone else of Nine Queens (Argentinian film)? Not the plot, literally, but the vibe and the whole air of what you think is happening (like, who's scamming who) isn't what's happening.

I think the main 'romance' is a bit childish and insipid, and the mum thing is tedious, but I'm LOVING the cameos. And the ensemble cast/side stories.

But, like kdramas with 30 something hetero couples who suddenly (and incomprehensibly) go all squeakily virginal when they get together, it appeals to the teenage girl/prudish old lady audiences.

Man, that long-haired lad needs to learn some acting. His constant 'raking his fingers through his long hair' schtick is so not doing it for me.
