Dazzlingly good. I don't define myself as an introvert (or an extrovert, and know that Myers Briggs isn't very scientific) but so much of what the characters did, or said, resonated with me. Probably the most relatable kdrama I've ever watched, including its depiction of high-functioning alcoholism.

As tagged it is based on a novel. The 2018 Novel is called The Girl Who Deserves to Die by Bang Jin-Ho. As per…
Thanks for that - the second film I thought of was The Man from Nowhere (which the article references).

I love how Jin Ki Joo manages to convey sweetness, without being a drip, and strength without being a violent, screechy alcoholic, those two tropes of kdrama.

Wow, haven't seen such a boring male lead in a while... Woong was an interesting character from the very beginning,…
I don't find him boring, just very . . . grown up.

A nice bit of uncomplicated fluff. The cameos and some of the supporting cast were the best bits - I really liked the reporter/lawyer thing, the 'yooona' couple and wanted to see more of the namesake young actor and his 'sunbae' fangirl.

I really like this drama and this episode 15 was just cute. However, in my opinion, the female lead is just beautiful…
She has four expressions: deer in headlights, pouty/sulking, half asleep and goofy-grin. Still, that's three more than Song Hye Kyo, who only looks as if she's having a mini-stroke.

why is a country being poor and shown as being poor so controversial? i get that they shouldve mentioned a specific…
Bollocks. As a 'westerner' I'd never say "I'm going to Asia for my holidays (or to volunteer". Nobody would. I'd say I'm going to India (I'd probably even say which part), or Thailand or Vietnam. It's only the - very diverse - continent of Africa that gets talked about that way.

There isn't much chemistry in later episodes, either - its romance defined by a 15 year old girl's palate, BUT the story as a whole is decent, some of the other couples have better chemistry and a better story arc and the cameos are fricking hilarious.

I get that you're a Sasaeng and therefore not entirely logical but you can't keep screeching 'hater' and make it true.

You're irrational, in part, because you don't (can't) understand what other people have said. Fact: I don't 'hate' an actress I've never met. Fact: I've explained I think she is a bad actress. She has the same, dead, expressionless face - even her eyes have no expression - in every single part of every single role I've seen her in.

People think Song Hye Kyo is a bad actress. That's not the same as 'hating' her. If you employed a chef who couldn't cook, would it be hateful to say "this food is bad."? No, it wouldn't. It's their job. They should work hard. I'd be sacked if I was as bad at my job as Song Hye Kyo is at acting, but it wouldn't mean my boss hated me.

The tag is older man/younger woman, but the fact na in woo younger than seo hyun 😅😅
That puzzled me, too. Not because I don't understand the difference between character and actor ages but because Na In Woo looks very young. Will they put him in older age makeup? Or will Seo Hyun try to pass as late teens?

Is a 'job' with a 'dating service' basically what I'd call an escort agency? Or is there a completely separate kind of business in Korea? And would a minor be employed in such a business?
