I don't know who's playing which role - I'm just going by the synopsis and tags (and having seen Game Rak Ao Keun or Kenja no Ai which are similar in premise). What's your source?
I was wondering is he not married? the most normal thing would be yes, now that I know that he is, I hope we can…
Yes, he's married. They don't have children together but his wife adopts the first born sons of both of his concubines and the latter of them will become the next king.
To everyone who is having a problem with their age gap, You should know that their is no romance here. So, Shut…
There's an age gap tag. So, I don't think there will be 'romance' exactly but its likely that part of the female lead's 'revenge' against the woman who bullied her all those years ago, is to seduce that woman's young son.
I think because the focus is on Doek-Im and San; San’s rise to the throne as a backdrop without a harem drama…
I don't expect her to appear as a character - it's not very romantic, is it, the male lead's wife? But for none of the supporting cast to even mention her existence - even when it might be natural to do so? That's odd.
I'm really enjoying this but does anyone find it a bit odd that they've completely erased Queen Hyoui from history in this version. None of the characters mention her, even in passing.
Was My Brilliant Life 2014? That's nearly 8 years ago. Has she really done nothing decent since? Also, I'd be surprised if the director was saying "I want you to have a near expressionless face in every scene, particularly the emotionally charged ones". I think it's more likely that she was cast because she's pretty and famous and they accept that she won't do 'acting' these days.
🥴 This drama is one of the last things I’d call realistic. This is not an opinion.
It's not 'one of the best this year' or of any year. It's a boring mess, partly because of the FL's "I've just had a mini-stroke" acting but also the triteness of the plot and writing, and the ML not doing much better in the acting stakes.
Maybe people are finally admitting that the kind of dumb staring that the FL does, constantly, is not 'acting'.
A lot of the fans of the drama seem to just be fans of the FL and her terrible, blank-faced 'acting'. Apparently she's a classic Korean star, along with Jun Ji-hyun (who can actually act) and Kim Tae-hee. See also Melancholia - that seems to be a Lee Do-hyun (who can act) fan vehicle - but the actress still only does the constant, dumb, blank-faced thing.
Just spoke to an agent at Disney plus. They'd never heard of Snowdrop. When I mentioned the Forbes article they said "Forbes isn't an official Disney source".
What is funny is that in reality, the double standard is also there but in the completely opposite direction.…
Yes, if the 'double standard ' existed in quite the way people said it does there wouldn't be SO MANY freaking 'noona' dramas. There are at least three currently airing.
Want to watch it after the trailer. Too bad The story is all over the place. They should make roommate best friend…
She always does the dead faced thing. In her last three dramas she's been the same. Either she's had a lot of botox, recently, or she thinks the dead faced thing makes her look younger.
People are so shallow now days, all they want to see is two models in a lazy written love story and that's it…
I agree. This is a fairly trite, crappy story but Im Soo Jung is pretty and Lee Do Hyun is an 'oppa' so this is 'beautiful' despite the FL looking as if she's had a mini stroke much of the time.
