I'm not sure what the English subs were coz I got impatient and watched it with Chinese subs lol. But you are right. He did say "once" regretted. But honestly, that still sounds just as hurtful. Hahahah. I can't imagine if a friend told me they "once" regretted meeting me, even though they may not feel that way now. That would honestly break me. Not to mention hearing these words from someone whom I love with all my heart.

I agree he's trying to protect her for sure and since he made a decision to sacrifice their relationship before, he'd be more determined to see to it this time now that so many people have died.

But thanks for mentioning one thing that I overlooked, and that is for the other immortals to leave her alone. When he was Gu Jin, it made sense that they should stick together to protect each other. But now he is no longer Gu Jin but Yuan Qi with hella responsibilities on his shoulders. He can no longer be willful and protect her the way he used to :( i do look forward to seeing him adapting to his new status though.

I don't blame Yuan Qi either and I feel bad for him too. He's in a tough spot. With all the decisions he's made until his people died to save him, it was devastating. But to say that he regretted meeting Ayin, that's just way too cruel in my opinion.

I get where he's coming from and maybe he was partly speaking out of guilt, thinking if he hadn't met her, none of those people would have to die, and himself and Ayin wouldn't have to suffer. But honestly, saying he needed to be fair hence the punishment was enough. He didn't have to say those hurtful words after, because Ayin was clearly hurt not because of the punishment, but because she thought he didn't trust her and thought she meant nothing to him. His words exactly implied what Hong Chou has been saying to Ayin.

Though, I guess he's trying to push her away again like what he did when he destroyed his affection thread. Being mean to her, then secretly helping her. But he needs to know that some words can't be taken back once they've been said, and he broke her heart the same way twice.

GJ is supposed to go to the God Realm as well in ep24, but he said he's got unfinished business so he's staying. I'm glad he stayed instead of just saying okbye I'm true god now this isn't my problem anymore. At least he's got a sense of responsibility not just to avenge his Daze Mountain family, but also get to the bottom of this because his friends are involved. That being said, I still can't forgive him for hurting Ayin so badly twice even though I pity him too. But my poor Ayin did nothing wrong and she's always either taking the blame or getting her heart broken TT^TT

Can't wait to see badass Feng Yin come back to get revenge on these pathetic immortals who bullied Ayin when she was just a little harmless beast. But that also means it's byebye to our pure and innocent Ayin and Gu Jin 🥲🥲

Good point. I remember Xiu Yan telling Ayin that she must have offended a great being, or she is the great being itself. So in a way, Gu Jin is also her tribulation, and it's part of the price she has to pay for regaining her life.

I'm with you. I didn't hate his character, but I wasn't a fan of his foolishness at first when it came to Hua Shu. Then again, he's a simple person who means harm to nobody, so that's expected of him. But since the last few episodes, seeing him standing firm for his own beliefs, even if it meant defying his aunt or even giving up his true god status, I've come to admire his character and perspectives. I like that he values his friends and family at Daze Mountain more than his so-called "home" and true god status which his aunt keeps reminding him off. He's clear about what he wants, and he won't sway once he has made up his mind.

I'm not sure if I'll still think fondly of him as things progress in later episodes. But even so, seeing how he's still not giving up in episode 1 shows that he's still the same Gu Jin regardless of his status.

I also love the bond among these 4 friends. I'm curious how things would turn out if Ayin goes to the Nether Realm though. That place seems interesting.

I take back what I said about Lan Feng for now after watching episode 14. Hahahah nobody's perfect but at least he didn't disappoint by sticking to the rules even when it involved Hua Shu's family.

I thought Xian Shan would be one of the good ones...Seriously can't blame Ayin for turning evil later and do whatever they said she did in the first episode.

Thank you so much for the explanation! That really helps. I was clear about his commonly known identity, but it was his true identity that I wasn't sure about. But I guess I wasn't that far off, which is a relief. Hahaha. So that means, even though Gu Jin was born with a higher status, he's still gotta work his way up to actually be of higher status and gain authority. I actually quite like that. At least when he's really at true god level or even demi god level, he has earned his status and authority fair and square.

And yea, I agree with what you said about Lan Feng. That's the reason I don't like his ways. He's not exactly doing a bad job, but he could do better. Haha

Oh, one more question if you don't mind. If Gu Jin becomes a demi god or true god, does that mean he holds more authority than Lan Feng who's the heavenly emperor or they are both gonna be at the same level? Coz the emperor is the one governing the realm and usually holds the highest command.

Yea, Hong Yi is going to be devastated and feel so guilty when he finds out though. Because his aunt saved him from being possessed and took it on herself. I just hope Lin Mo realizes it's Qing Lin sooner and save Hong Ruo.
