BIBI has constantly proved herself to have potential in acting especially in her music videos before she did Worst of Evil, but she really nailed her character there and I'm excited to see her here!!! Also happy that our 3 main leads will be back. I guess this means Geum Sae Rok won't be reprising her role. I wonder if the other supporting characters will also make a return.
Don't have a problem with the age difference. Shin Hyun Been's role is probably gonna be in her early to mid 30s, while Moon Sang Min's character is gonna be like his character in WI, where he'd be in his late twenties.
Honestly, I think he did well as a young man in Queen's Umbrella, coz it was closer to his age. But when it comes to portraying a man in his late 20s, he still lacks a bit of maturity in his acting. Because he still gives off a very boyish feeling, who is still wet behind the ears and haven't experienced much in life. I guess it's about the gaze and tone that aren't quite convincing.
Whenever a very young actor needs to play a much more mature role, I can't help but always compare them to Lee Jae Wook and his role in Search WWW. Because his acting was mature and layered, making it very convincing that he wasn't in his early twenties. In fact, I didn't even realize he was until I checked.
Maybe Moon Sang Min might surprise me in this one, idk. But Shin Hyun Been's first leading role in a romcom! Aaahhh I still haven't gotten over her role with Jung Woo Sung in TMTYLM....
I gave a good rating to help and try to neutralize the homophobes who keep giving low ratings in the Bls.
It's the exact opposite...the homophobic or ignorant ones are giving this a high rating coz they can't see how the writer is doing a gay character dirty.
You are saying "Is it ok for parents to abandon their children once they are 18??", Is DH parent of JH or what??…
I wish I could like your comment 1,000 times. Lol. Thank you for putting it perfectly into words. People are excusing Jihan's behavior just coz he's the baby brother. But Dohan, too, lost his parents and had to deal with a pushy younger brother, and live in fear for getting discriminated by his own family due to his sexuality.
I blame the writer, first and foremost, for writing Dohan in such a way. Dohan was never put in a positive light throughout the drama so far, constantly being blamed for being selfish, and being called a coward due to hiding his sexuality. But for Jihan who caused an even bigger mess and acted way out of line on several occasions, he was portrayed as a pitiful young boy who had no one to rely on, is willing to sacrifice everything for love now and gets to redeem himself by being the selfless hero who saves the day.
What Dohan did was basically cutting his toxic family out of his life for those few years for his own sanity. But no, people don't see how toxic Jihan was.
Couldn't agree more with you, especially on Kopiko part. I used to love Kopiko but it's PPL annoyed me so much…
No, I totally get you. I used to like kopiko candy as well coz they were the cheaper candies back then. But since it found its way into kdramaland, seeing it in almost every drama I'm watching felt so annoying. It's like I'm fed up of seeing it in real life too when it won't stop popping up in kdramas, especially with those fake reactions! Lol. Idk, maybe it's the exaggerated reactions that backfired for me. Hahaha
People just gotta complain about everything huh? For me, I'm no automobile fanatic, but those cars are definitely nice to see and I'm glad we got to see them in this drama. The characters are all rich people and I wouldn't even have noticed it was PPL because it felt so natural for them to drive them. At least this PPL makes sense?
I usually don't care much about PPL coz it happens in every drama, and I don't get why people always complain about it. But there's definitely one that has started to annoy me and it is KOPIKO. Lolol that candy does NOTHING in keeping you awake. It does taste kinda delicious though and has a nice coffee taste. Hahahah. But I'd still prefer actual coffee than that.
You don't remember the end?The drama clearly hinted at him still being alive but on the brink of being caught…
Oh that's great then! It's been so long since I watched it, I always thought he did end up dead. That's the reason I never wanted to rewatch it! LOL i feel so stupid now. Def gotta watch it again before season 2 is back. Thanks for telling me! And love your pfp btw. Haha
I would really appreciate if someone could tell me. Novel readers, does this have a happy or sad ending? I need to be mentally prepared before starting this. LOL
For a second I thought this "Trigger" was the same "Trigger" starring Kim Nam Gil and Kim Young Kwang. But as I read, I realized it wasn't. Are writers running out of ideas for drama titles? LOL. Anyway, excited for Kim Hye Soo's return in a drama!
She did sooo well !!!! I'm so happy that she took up the challenge and her skills and efforts are being acknowledged. But I also hope that for her next villain role, she would be able to find a better way to deal with it instead of torturing herself like this coz it really breaks my heart. Su-min was a really twisted character but I pity her childhood. I can't imagine how mentally draining, and even physically exhausting it would be to play such a character. I hope she gets good scripts and good characters that help expand her acting range in the future. And definitely hope she gets awarded for playing the role of Jung Su-min!!
