It isn't serious and they're just friends. You should watch more episodes before judging
Bro, I don’t think you’re fully understanding my point. Maybe you’re right, and the makers did show a good friendship between the ML and SFL, like they did with the FL and SML, but that was most definitely after the main leads became a couple. The whole dynamic changes after that, so it feels different. What I was hoping for was to see that kind of friendship between the ML and SFL from the start, just like we saw with the FL and SML. But with most recent dramas, that’s just too much to ask for, so I was disappointed and just expressing my opinion. We saw so many jealous moments from the ML in this drama but there’s rarely any for the FL, which also kind of hampered my experience a bit.
It isn't serious and they're just friends. You should watch more episodes before judging
I’m happy you didn’t find it serious, but at least respect my opinion too. I just want to ask you one question: why is this type of relationship, or as you call it friendship, only shown between the FL and SML and not between the ML and SFL? Why this hypocrisy in portraying it? And honestly, a love triangle literally means two guys loving a girl and vice versa, so I’m right in saying that.
Oh... I wanted to watch it because they said there wasn't a love triangle and I've liked YCE since Go go squid!,…
I’d say the drama is worth watching for the way the leads interact and the overall positive vibe. But the problem is the hypocrisy of the makers—they go out of their way to create these overly affectionate moments between the FL and SML, making them all chummy-chummy. Yet when it comes to the ML and SFL, he doesn’t even spare her a glance, and she’s the only one pining after him with zero mutual interaction.
Who said this drama doesn’t have a love triangle? The FL and SML spent 9-10 episodes chasing after each other and going on countless play dates, but somehow that doesn’t count? Meanwhile, compare how the ML handled the SFL to how the FL handled the SML—you’ll see just how biased and unimaginative C-drama writers have become these days. And while the SML wasn’t the worst, stealing an artist’s hard work just to impress a girl is just plain wrong.
did xu qi an become forgotten in the novel as well or is that new to the drama? i saw people say there were differences…
He also became forgotten in the novel but that was for a very short time. This plot in the novel happens when he finally kills the Emperor and has a fight with his father which should have been the final ending in the drama but the makers changed it.
can someone who read the novel spoil me who are all the members of the special organisation with the cellphones…
1st is Elder Princess. 2nd is Winged Woman, 3rd is XQA, 4th is Chu Yuan Zhen who can is enemy with 2nd, 5th is the monk who we saw taking revenge in the story, 6th is a senior of Winged Woman from her sect who we will know later in the story, 7th is a girl from Insect caln who later becomes the master of XQA's younger sister and lives with them, 8th is a hidden card/monk from Tianyu Clan whose father is Shen Yu whose hand was sealed in the palace. He is a very powerful monk and later helps XQA in very important situations. and 9th is Jin Lan who gave the artifact to XQA. These are all from the novel so I'm not sure how they are going to change it in the drama.
Just for fun, imagine if a less handsome actor were cast as Tian Ming. The hate he’s been getting would multiply a hundredfold. While I can admit that he’s a talented actor, the way people are justifying every one of his actions is absolutely absurd. If the genders were reversed and a second female lead (SFL) were doing the same terrible things he’s doing, most of the female audience here would be out for her blood. They wouldn’t care that she had also suffered for 10,000 years like Tian Ming. It’s amazing how much a pretty face and a predominantly female audience can shift the perspective on a character’s actions.
And yes, I know most of that audience will now be out for my blood too—just because I dared to present a logical point.
NEVER listen to MDL ratings, honestly they mean nothing. It's a really good series
I will give you some reasons for that. For clarification, drama opinions are subjective. Just because you liked something doens't mean others will like it too and vice versa. The below opinons are just my take on why the dramas deserved low endings. Maybe most of the people agree with me that's why the ratings are so low.
1. Cheer Up: SML kissed FL without her consent while she was drunk even while knowing that she isn't in love with him. He didn't even apologize to her. They even were friends till the end which doesn't make sense. Most of the comments were even praising him just because he was good looking and was proactive in his love for FL but that doesn't excuse his behaviour.
2. Cheese in the Trap: Here the makers tried to become oversmart and deleted many of the scenes from the manhwa that were essential for the character growth of ML just to give more screentime to SML just because he was gaining more attraction for them.
3. Nevertheless: This one I liked a lot but I can see the glaring issues here too. The ML didn't change in the end even after the break up which doesn't make. He was still seen flirting in the end.
4. Warm and Cozy: The ML's character was written too toxic here while in the name of love. The push and pull between the leads also took too long. The name of drama is Warm and Cozy but the drama is far from that which felt misleading.
5. Because It’s the First Time: Dont know about this as I haven't watched it yet.
6. Doona!: I was really liking this drama till ep-5 or 6 but then the manager appeared and FL started behaving like a different person. She didn't apologize for leaving so abruptly with her manager without giving any explanation to ML. She even asks for an apology from him. How can the ML even trust her to not to do the same in the future. She needed a serious psychiatrist rather than continuing her idol work again. Even the end was so ambiguous. If you are trying to make the leads go through so much then at least show conclusive ending for the leads rather than whatever it was.
