So far the drama has done a good job in fleshing out the characters and their past. But i wish they put some more spotlight on musheng-suying. Like since this was the reason why everything started would have loved to know whether he died or just forgot his memory and how yunxi found him. Everything related to these 3 is so vague. I don't mind makers not showing how ty fell in love with sy but i genuinely want a confirmation whether musheng loved her or it's just she was mistaken. Cause seeing the house where they used to live, and her reminiscing their past it didn't seem to be one sided.
I knew while watching today's episode that Ling Xiao and Cheng Yi going to die the moment Brush sprite made them stand in one frame. And now after seeing the trailers it's confirmed 😭
When yh was teaching ty that emptiness chant i was like no way she is making him practice ghostly Eulogy.(well tbh i remember ghostly eulogy had quite some similarities with chengxin mountain's jingmen chant) .Getting embarrassed infront of her master . That whole scene was soo funny

1. In ep 32 it was revealed that actually fu yin gave that order to destroy HPS. Ling Xiao got tricked and destroyed the thing that could have been a strong counter for the dark aura.
2. He had no option. Man had to choose between either saving the world or one person. However since he didn't want her to die hence he was delaying it as much as he could.
3. HPS won't be useless if yh dies. It always depended on TY. Once TY dies in place of her due to 9star spell she gets a new chance to live without having the need to have a HPS. That's why TY didn't give her HPS back in ep 27 and would rather activate 9 star spell because he didn't want her to live the rest of the life being dependent on HPS which would have made her a target for many dangers.
I really like it when characters in a drama ask logical question even though we are expected to have suspension of disbelief for a particular scene. And there are plenty of instances in BFTB . For example, although it appeared funny at that time, what Feng said was indeed true. Who would expect a strong tall man to hatch from a dragon egg. It only makes sense for it to be a baby human or a baby dragon
Not in your face, caricaturish comedy like TSL, neither gut wrenching angst like TTEOTM. A perfect mix of comedy and drama. Avoids a lot of common tropes . All the characters and their actions are logical and driven by the plot. Most importantly the leads have the best communication I have seen in a cdrama in a long time
I think high expectations+youku 's schedule made BXS' character appear terrible than he actually is .
If we seriously look at it he annoyed us for only like 4-5 episodes. Other than that he did not behave like other clingy second leads who keep on planning and plotting to separate the main leads. Maybe that's what the writer meant when they said he won't be an obstacle. Atleast he didn't actively try to sabotage their relationship. Although he came in between them a few times but only when he felt the dragon didn't deserve her because he stabbed her(man didn't know abt the 9 star spell. Later on he himself saved TY using the cupid bow)
Nope. His master explained how regret leads to obsession which lead to many Taoist masters resorting to dark practising. I guess ling xiao was referring to his regret as inner demon which was slowly consuming him
I have watched way more kdramas than cdramas. And normally i am able to wait patiently for one whole week for those two episodes to drop.
Meanwhile in case of cdramas especially here even after getting 7 episodes in a week i felt like my patience have been running out. I guess it's due to the fact that cdramas are pre produced so they spoil a lot of stuff before airing the episodes. Even the ending and opening songs contain so many spoilers that one cannot help but die out of curiosity
