I made that exact point yesterday. There are some dramas thhat can be fun to watch if you binge watch them because you don't take the time to analyze how bad certain scenaristic choices can be. That's why the opinions on one drama can be drastically different from one viewer to the other, depending on how long it took them to watch it. If you binge watch it you can like it. But at this point, I don't know if binge watching it can salvage the bad scenario...
i understand what you mean and i felt the same... there were so many scenes before the truth of the letter came…
Yeah I think D.O's acting matched perfectly his role in 100 days my prince. I didn't think I would enjoy the drama since light hearted dramas that take place in the past are not my think. Hwarang for exemple that I had to drop because of how boring the drama was or moonlight drawn by clouds (really, park bogum just don't seem to take on projects I enjoy...). But I actually really enjoyed it, it was fun. I'll be able to have an actual opinion on his acting after seeing more of his work. I think I saw he was in a drama with Moon Ga Young but I didn't want to watch it because it was a drama about idols or something like that.

I've only seen Do KyungSoo in 100 days my prince and he was stiff but that was perfect for the character he was portraying so I don't know if he was lucky that he's acting macthed the character or if it was an acting choice, I haven't seen anything else from him to compare yet. I'm watching strangers from hell for Im Siwan, didn't know he was an idol, he's indeed not bad

Circuling back to the "casting idols" problematic. I wonder if there are idols capable of good acting. I usually avoid their drama but as far as I have seen, it's rarely the case.
There are dramas for everyone! Don't give up on kdrama for that, most of them are mehh but some of them are so…
I don't know about charisma but one slow burn, cozy and mature romance I can think of is "When the Weather Is Fine". I don't enjoy romance drama too much so I don't have a long list for you. I'm currently watching "When My love blooms" and I'm really really enojying it so far but I haven't finished it yet to say if it ends well or not. Reply 1988 is an excellent show that I can suggest. It involves sweet first romances in a lovely group of friend in the year 1988 (one thing people can agree on in the kdrama universe is how good that show was). You have everything to make an amazing drama (friends, family, love). The reply series (there are others) have the particularity creating a suspens on who the female lead decided to marry (so you have the character of the husband because FL narrates her past life, but you don't know who it is). It can create a second lead syndrom if you're rooting for the other guy but it's a wonderful show. I must also recommend Flower of evil. The couple is already married and it's a suspens/thriller but it is worth the watch I swear, one of the my favorite show of 2020. For a non romance drama I'd suggest Extracurricular, another gem of this year.
Not really... It's the bad writing... Nam joo hyuk was really good in the first 4-5 episodes till dosan started…
Ah, I don't know much about contracts, are we sure it's specified whether he had to end up with dalmi? Because he can still be first male lead without getting the girl, no? Considering the fact that it's a drama about start-up, the plot didn't need dodal to be together to have NDS be first male lead.
Okay, this is my first time ever leaving a comment. I usually don't do comments at all, not for anything. However,…

If you tell us what you like/looking for in a drama, maybe we can suggest other kdramas that might help you with what you are going through..

PBG was excellent in reply 1988 even though I don't like his work in general
7.9, what a great number
