No. There was a talisman planted. It was a nightmare the king had and also his concubine help planted the idea as well.
She was against killing the baby because it was completely innocent. She retain some shred of compassion and humanity despite losing her memory and being brainwashed.
It was explained she was the best assassin. If you watched Chinese martial arts movies and dramas, you would see more crazy stunts.
ML was against cruelty on how the animal was hunted. He wasn’t against eating animals. He wasn’t vegan lol
The nanny was trying to prevent ml from doing something stupid that would lead to his death. What she did to herself wasn’t ideal but she wasn’t in a sound mind after what happened and had to come up with something real quick to calm down ml.

In “my perspective” your criticisms are baseless even if you majored in media related field. For ex. Expecting no character development after watching one episode? No one can expect such thing. No matter how expertise you are in a field, no way can one predict that lol You must had access to the entire drama scripts lol

The second half of your response, yes I understand how it works, especially later on during the airing of a series. However, its main flaws is situated early on, its early inflated and deflated ratings may mislead and deter certain people from watching the drama. That is the bigger issue at hand in my perspective.
I find the reason why you posted a review instead of leaving a comment on the comment section is rather flimsy. I don’t see you post reviews for every drama you watched, and I find it hard to believe that this is the only drama you dropped (edit: I notice you dropped many dramas) All of your other “handful” of reviews, you completed viewing the drama in it’s entirety. If you were a person who would take notes consistently, maybe I could “try” to understand.
I don’t want to go and have a long, dragged debate with you because I have a strong feeling we are not going to see eye to eye lol Rarely anyone will come into mutual agreement online after taking a stance. My Review in a nutshell: I love it! I absolutely love it! It’s like eating ice cream in a hot summer day, this ice cream is so good I would also eat it on a cold, winter day too.

I love how everything moved fast, nothing dragged. I know some people below didn’t seem to appreciate Kim So Hyun playing the mother because it didn’t make sense why she didn’t get recognized by her son and the ML. It didn’t bother me at all because her son didn’t see her close-up when he handed her the gift. She was mostly looking down and he didn’t pay particular attention. For ML, he met the queen only once briefly, so it makes sense to me why he didn’t recognize the FL who looks exactly like her mother.
I absolutely love all the action scenes and I loved that they made the FL a strong character. Actually I love how they make the men and women in the drama strong figures.
I love the secondary characters and the relationships. It’s fun and beautiful
I’m not sure why some people think the first 15 minutes spoils the entire drama because it really doesn’t. It’s not clear what happened. There’s many fill in the blanks that needs to be filled.
This is such a fun ride. If you love Empress Ki, I think you will also love this drama.
Why are there already two reviews out for this drama? Why were they posted although only one episode was released at the time. One of the reviews was just plain grumpy and cantankerous. Like take a chill pill ROFL why did 200 + people already gave this drama a rating although literally only 2/20 episodes came out? Why were there people giving this drama 1/10 even before it premiered? Eat a bowl of ice cream and relax lolz
What a terrible ending. Went from 9/10 to 4/10 for me and that’s still generous. The ending is everything to me. It’s like eating a yummy meal but then it gives you food poisoning and you hit the bathrooms every 5 minutes. No matter how good it taste I can’t justify myself giving it a good score. So sad. What a disappointment:(
If they are going to make seojun this amazing in the drama as well, I don’t know how I can survive the pain for the next 12 episodes knowing that he won’t end up with the FL. I’m never even fully satisfied even if a drama gives the second male lead a so called happy ending with their own love interest. I just want them with the FL lol
Mom was so repulsive in this episode with her comment. I don’t know why they are focusing so much in giving her sister a love line this early in the drama. The brother was very annoying. I wanted to bash him with a vase lol I really dislike the accusation that seojun made, so over-dramatic and what he did with the lunch tray was juvenile and Suho grabbing his shirt in retaliation especially being triggered after seeing seojun hitting on FL was frustrating.
