I know what happened but he still should had been honest and communicate instead of using the hypnosis therapy session to alter her memories. It doesn’t give him the right to do what he did based on second hand information.
Also he clearly says he was responsible for her suffering in three lifetimes including last lifetime, not hj
This show should be renamed, “It Was Luck,” AJ doesn’t deserve any of the guys. The “unlucky” guys should be shouting for joy if she doesn’t pick them, otherwise they will be miserable being with her in the long term. In fact the writer and the actor should be thankful they didn’t end up with her 14 years ago, they would have died an early death due to exhaustion. Run guys run!
I am so happy to start this drama late, so I don’t have to wait each week. A friend recommended it to me. I’ve been checking out so many dramas with terrible quality these past few months, so I’m happy to come across this one. I hope this drama ends in a strong note.
Why are people constantly dropping dirt on DG, when every episode it’s showing the ML being more problematic each episode? How is DG butting in? He’s only being a good friend the past few episodes. And it’s HJ that goes to him most of the time. ML manipulated HJ memories and constantly lies to her. He even admits from his own mouth that he’s the reason why she has been hurt for three lifetimes. You can prefer the ML, but there’s no need to constantly make DG a hideous character when in real life you would want him to be your friend or boyfriend. And ML even selfishly told HJ to end her friendship with DG, he tried to emotionally manipulate her by saying that apparently she doesn’t value him enough to end it. Early on I can kind of see DG clingy-ness but now it’s only ML.
I hear this drama is really good. On episode one right now, the FL mother is annoying. Is she this annoying the entire drama? Does FL allow her mom to take advantage of her throughout the drama and make her pay off the loans for her? Because it’s making it hard for me to continue if the FL doesn’t have a backbone against her own mom.
EB's story was complete.. she went back to training and was shown at the end of ep16 as an idol..DH's sister wasnt…
Thank you for your insights but I have to disagree. The writing is so inconsistent in my opinion. They spent a good portion of the show on EB struggling to be an idol and how it affected SB but then they abruptly ended that storyline with barely a glimpse of her journey in the last two episodes. Showing her being an idol at the end is a whisper and not satisfying. It defeats the purpose of even giving her a larger screen time in the second half of the drama. I wanted to see DH sister repent and pay and suffered huge consequences for her “robbing” the store. I disagree with DH growth, he hasn’t improved in communication or developed a strong backbone. Nothing wrong with being kind but being taken advantage of frequently and sweeping things under the rug is not something we should applaud him for. Showing him somewhat standing up for himself once or twice is not much growth. All in all this is my personal interpretations, it doesn’t mean I’m right or wrong lol
It’s okay, if you overall enjoy the characterizations and the story of SB and DH and their journey. And it’s okay if you loved episode 16. I’m happy for your enjoyment!
I wish I could feel the same, maybe my personal standards are too high. I know that we often think and process differently during the airing of the drama, but that’s alright. We are just very different people :) agree to disagree
She works in the garden center, because she wanted to become a florist before she met JCW, right?
Is that so? This drama was so draggy, I fast forward some scenes. Oh yeah, I remember SB having the ability to recognize flowers and its meanings after Puppy gave her those flowers.
a lot of People complained about kissing scene in episode 1 now again they are complaining that there is no kissing…
People including me only had problems with a high school student kissing a drunk adult without permission. I’m not sure why they couldn’t kiss later on after they start to both have feelings for each other and why it would be seen problematic.
No. No. No. what kind of finale episode was that? That was so terrible. Why does this show introduce characters and storylines that they’re not going to fully fleshed out? For example, EB and DH sister basically disappeared. SB is so childish running away and leaving behind just a short note. Out of all the places, she has to work at a garden center? I thought SB wanted to prove her independence and worth. Can’t they do a time jump and make her a successful career woman or a university graduate or something of high caliber? There was almost no growth in any of the characters. SB had the most development but regressed. I’m fine with DH being an ordinary man, but being ordinary does not mean you don’t grow. The way this show was executed, I’m fine with no kissing because they still gave out siblings vibes all the way to the end. And once again they have to stereotype another ethic group, I’m half-Chinese and I find it distasteful. I’m impressed at the cast for doing what they can with such a terrible script. The scripts truly held them back from delivering something meaningful and held them back from challenging themselves as actors. I chose four mediocre dramas to watch back to back: was it love, dinner mates, men is men, backstreet rookie. I’m down on my luck in choosing dramas. JCW, please reward me with a better drama next time for sticking with this drama from beginning to end. Lesson to be learned: A good drama depends mostly on a combination of a good writer and a good director, good writer is the most important element of the formula.
I think you are a little bit too harsh. SB had some real character development here. She dreamed of the day DH…
I agree with you! It really wasn’t “dinner mates” anymore. The ex-boyfriend was insane, eating things that he was seriously allergic to and all of his psychopathic antics pulled all of my nerves out lol The cliche truck of doom making an appearance was so aggravating. It’s disappointing since I heard the webtoon source was good. I ended up fast forwarding many scenes. Yes, he deserves a better project! 2020, so many good actors being wasted on mediocre dramas. It’s criminal and upsetting.

Save yourself the torture and don’t watch was it love. You can check out the comments and like 99 percent of the comments are raging on the FL. She’s a resentful imbecile.
Dinner mates, I only stuck with the show for the amazing male lead character, he was the only one I liked consistently. FL fickleness and wish-washy behavior caused so much mental distress to the ML. A good writer can make a couple interesting even after they get together and act “like a couple.” The writer incorporated too many cliches and drama tropes even from episode 1. There’s too many coincidences. I wished the show focused more on food lol

Im watching Was it Love and watched Dinner Mates and those characters especially the female leads were unbearable lol I can’t stand them. Most of their life problems stem from their not communicating well. Was it Love female lead is the worst female lead of 2020. I want her to end up alone.
I don’t think so because they were warned in advance but didn’t heed to it, “ The KCSC also said that the…
No there’s a difference. According to you they had to color their skin because they have different identities. They’re doing it for their job, not for fun.
The high school cosplay is completely different. They don’t need to color their skin at all. Their life isn’t in danger. People can understand references without skin coloring.
also bring it on ghost.. it is also a popular kdrama internationally and seems to have done decent run in korea…
Thanks for spoiler. But that’s not true that she would kiss him whenever she had the chance despite the purpose. She only kissed him the first time by accident and she was mad about it. If she didn’t have the purpose of gaining her memories, she would never had gone after him. Not saying it’s not bad but like I said earlier, a pinch and a punch is different levels.
That’s not true. SB did not kiss him (in his mind she’s a stranger) to thank him. She wanted him romantically. She even said some suggestive words to him after that kiss, lust was involved. Totally different motives, not even close to the same level of purity. Webtoon source is different but that scene was all lust in the webtoon. It was water down in the first episode but lust was still present.

I only watch 2 episodes so I’m not going to heavily address about them dating and etc. the original purpose was to gain information. If they have romance later, it’s not a problem at all. I know DH wasn’t in a relationship, the problem is SB kissing without permission. She flirted with a taken man In the future. She does want to leave earth. That’s why she is gathering information. She’s wondering why she couldn’t go to the afterlife and figured there must be something holding her back.

Once again agree to disagree. Bye.
