I agree, puppy is the better candidate for SB. Just because he’s an actor, it doesn’t mean he can’t make time for SB as he has been doing so in the past. Might as well argue that actors shouldn’t date. That’s not fair lol

she got upset by the hug between YJ and DH and complained to herself that they already hugged. Okay, miss touchy hands who touched DH every episode, hugged him, and piggyback ride him when he was still dating. That is hypocrisy for being upset by a hug.

I despise it when a show weakens a character physical strength and make them weak and make the female lead cry all the time in the second half of a drama. Although she recalled DH wisdom not to rely on violence, this is different, this is self-defense, she was getting beaten up and could had easily taken down those bullies like she done so in the past but she just takes the damage. She could had died. Thankfully some of her martial arts came back when she down a guy to retrieve the phone.

Why must she lie to DH and say she fell down the stairs, that’s why she’s hurt? That’s so annoying. Be honest, seriously. Good thing her friend knows she is fibbing.

DH mother is nice and all but it’s too convenient for her to love and be nice SB to this extent like a daughter or niece. Thinking about it, it really came out of nowhere. She was like this to SB from almost the very beginning. DH mother has no prior history of treating other people motherly . Tbh, I don’t see her that motherly towards DH, her own son that much.

SB sister is just flat out annoying. She’s needs to be eliminated with dreadlock man. Even to episode 13, I can’t stand him and his so-called comedy. I never laugh when he appears. SB is like the best sister ever.

Puppy you’re the best, go find a girl who can appreciate you. SB doesn’t deserve your attention and time.

YJ is annoying and all but if she wants to try to get back together with DH, she has the right to try to do because DH and SB isn’t in an official relationship but that didn’t stop SB in the past.

Can this show develop DH more, he’s almost still the same since episode 1. He’s the male lead for goodness sake. Stop wasting JCW.

Episode 13 was very annoying. I’m not saying YJ and SB are the same but SB showcased some similar qualities. I predicted this last episode but misunderstandings and lack of communication bothers me like it did with the Female Leads in “Was it Love” and “Dinner Mates.” If female lead is not going to be honest about what happened to her and honest about her feelings and just be upset on her own and keep it bottled up, their future relationship will crash and burn just like DH & YJ did. SB is only honest about her heart when she’s called out and caught on her lies otherwise she will just keep on hiding her feelings and thoughts. That’s not healthy for her and those around her. Honesty is important for a relationship to thrive. I don’t like how they weakened her character into the typical helpless female in distress in the latter half of the show and all she can do is cry. It’s like it’s a crime to be a strong female lead in drama land. Puppy, good-bye, SB missed out on a great guy, DH is kind and all but is like a small hill in comparison to the mountain which is puppy. Episode 13 is just typical simple annoying drama angsts, my rating is 5/10. JCW I hope the drama you just signed up is better than this simple fare.

We are both watching it with different lenses, but it’s nice to see different interpretations and perspectives haha I think she made the situation worse by lying to him about it. If she was to be honest and say she’s meeting him and etc and if he was to pout and complain incessantly, then perhaps I would agree more haha I’m not sure if he guilt-tripped her or manipulated her emotionally personally, I could be wrong but I think it’s more of her being personally sensitive of his emotions. So she took precautions on his behalf. It was her personal choice. I don’t recall a scene in the drama where he implored and beg her to stay away from main male lead obsessively but more of a brief mention. The scene after he found out she lied to him, he retracted what he said about her not to meet him after realizing he’s not her boyfriend haha

Haha we are watching it for different actor. I was mainly watching it for JCW but I’m a softie for romances in dramas, so I was expecting a good romance as well before the series aired. But I don’t expect that anymore after watching the first few episodes lol

Puppy is an outlier, he wins the record for length of special appearance/cameo without being an official cast member of a drama HAHA he’s so cute, and worm himself right into our hearts. I think he’s the only character that isn’t problematic to me in any manner lol

Your thoughts on DH & YJ is well-thought out and moving! YJ did peeved me off with her arrogance and her affair. And yes, she needs to come clean with her misdeeds if they were ever to get back together. I know the drama did it for comic flair (such as punching him in his sleep and got hurt for it) but I think SB also needs to come clean and apologize to DH for her own misdeeds towards him in the earlier episodes and for her coming on to him too strongly while being aware of his dating status. Thinking about it, I rather DH not be with either SB or YJ, they’re both too aggressive and opinionated lol he needs to find a girl who is a good listener and one that can encourage him to develop a backbone.

I Understand your perspective! Under the fantasy elements, I see the social issues they address, like the danger of gossip, gambling addictions, friendship (those two old ladies were so cute), having children, and so forth. I also relish family themes but also community spirit themes! Lol

I hope the drama give us darn good reasons why their relationship failed in the past. I’m confused why they blurred out his face in the historical period in some sections of the show but we see his face clearly on others historical scenes lol

I think HJ uncomfortableness has to do more with being cautious with his feelings. She known him for many years, so she’s not sure how to cater to someone that she seen as family for a long time but now confessed that he loves her but not only that, she shared to the main male lead that the reason why she wants to stay single is because her heart is unusual because it never beat for any man, especially the ones she dated in the past. She was going through the motions. Also I think she’s worry of hurting 2ML that’s why she is feeling uncomfortable and don’t know how to proceed their relationship. I think it would be more possessive if he kept telling her not to do stuff with other people if she flatly turned him down. She gave him hope by saying, let’s think about it more, rather than saying, sorry, please move on. It’s only my conjecture but I think she’s just trying to process everything and perhaps toying with the idea if a relationship with him is possible or not. I think I see moments where she may have some feelings for him in return. But I ultimately think she’s going to pick main male lead because that’s just how most dramas work lol yes the gay misunderstanding was hilarious haha

in backstreet rookie, that one is even more slow. I agree with the users that if we jumped from episode 2 to 10, we wouldn’t missed much lol

That’s quite intriguing, I’ve never seen a special appearance as active and as long as his role. When I think of guest appearances, I think of Kim Soo Hyun in Cloy and in Hotel Del Luna, Park Bo Gum in Itaewon Class, KJH in dinner mates, LDW in WWW Search, and even the Fiery Priest cameos we saw on this drama. Those were true cameos haha I agree, Puppy is surely out-maneuvering the so called 2nd lead of this drama.

I agree, I never saw YJ and DH relationship as impossible to reconcile. Their relationship is possible to resolve if they went to see a therapist for couples and took the time to discuss the things that are damaging their relationship. They felt like a normal couple with ups and downs due to lack of communication. I felt like DH parents relationship was more suffocating in the beginning than theirs. I never saw YJ as evil or corrupted beyond redemption. YJ is flawed just like the rest of the characters but definitely not evil and as mean-spirited as some people painted her to be. SB and DH will have trouble times as well in their relationship if they don’t learn from their past mistakes. DH needs to let the people around him knows that he’s also a human who has wants and needs rather than be a yes-man and sweep things under the rug and avoid confrontations all the time. I ship puppy and SB massively!

I suppose I can kind of see the slice of life themes but they’re not like in the same level as MPB where they help their clients/patrons/customers each episode, the same as Hotel Del Luna. But not every show can be like MPB, that’s a gem haha You’re right, the execution is rather poor and vacuous.

I agree! I want the show to explain what happened in the past and the development of the romances in the previous reincarnations at a faster pace! Haha I don’t know why ML and FL love each other yet, so it’s hard to root for them at the moment lol

Hi nice seeing you here as well! :) just in my perspective, he’s showing a healthy level of jealousy. I don’t see it as possessive because my definition of possessiveness is where you actively prevent someone from doing things besides just expressing their feelings to not do something hahaha I think both male leads have their pros and cons, and I don’t think any of their cons in my opinion are deal breakers, and no human is without flaws, therefore I think if she chooses any of them, it would be fine haha I prefer 2ML but I won’t be angry if she chooses ML haha I wish they explain why FL and ML loved each other throughout all their reincarnated lives haha but I’m definitely enjoying all the humor and the bromance on this show although I wish they would speed up the story a bit lol

That’s what confuses me, generally cameos are short 5 minutes clips, maybe 1-2 episode max but puppy has been here for like 5-6 episodes and his screen time was very generous in the last two episodes, he was more present, even more so than YJ. I can’t help but think that they upgraded his role to second male lead lol

I agree, I think they took too long to break up YJ and DH since it’s a miniseries. I think DH is a kind character but like you said he’s too much of a pushover. I think he needs to figure out what his needs are and stand up for himself and not only that, he needs to be a better communicator. He’s being pull around by strong women, his mom, YJ, and SB. I love strong women but I also want to see strong men who knows how to be bold for themselves as well when the time is right. All three leads on this drama are poor communicators, that’s why I’m not surprised their relationships (YJ and DH) fail and SB & DH will also face turbulent times.

I was hoping this drama would genuinely be a slice of life where they help customers with their lives while nursing their own personal wounds. But so far it’s mostly love squabbles and misunderstandings between the leads. I like Yoo Jung in the sad scenes of the drama, subjectively I love her character the most in those vulnerable scenes but the comical scenes not so much. I wish they showed SB longing for a career and education throughout each episode, like throws hints rather than show her infatuated with DH because a woman is more than just for love. They showed her interest in education rather late and far in between so I don’t get a strong emotional connection on that issue. Also I wished they showed YJ struggling with her toxic mom more on a one to one level so that we can see her character break free from that environment, it would make her character more rich rather than as a shallow love interest.

Episode 12, I’m straining hard to see “romantic” vibes and sizzling chemistry between the leads. It makes it really hard for me to support their budding relationship when I continuously see brother-sister vibes. I don’t understand why puppy doesn’t have the same imprint as DH in SB life. Puppy has been a consistently valuable friend. He’s good-looking, kind, and being looking out for her interests for years. DH doing one good deed when she was very young, is considered worthwhile of her years long pursuit when puppy surely done mountain-loads of great things for her since they became friends? Poor puppy, find someone who can appreciate you.

JCW, I love you so much, that’s why I’m still watching every week but the lack of a decent plot and lack of character developments on this drama besides SB and YJ makes me upset due to missed potential. But even the character developments of the female leads feel disjointed and abrupt and not natural. They alter the personalities really fast. There were some cute moments between the leads and the rivalry between the male leads was fun but not enough to make me thoroughly enjoy this episode. I’m already predicting more simplistic misunderstandings and empty love triangle shenanigans in the next episodes. Episode 12 rating for me 7/10.

I agree with everything you stated. I see sibling chemistry not romantic chemistry. It’s strange in my opinion how people see romantic chemistry, their interactions are how I see some siblings interact in real life Lol

They’re reincarnated. The old lady is obsessed with HM’s soul, she loved him in his past life. HJ was her love competitor in her previous life. I agree, I hope their stories will be fleshed out more. I want to know why HM & HJ love each other.

It’s impossible for him to be an immortal because it was shown he gained his memories of his previous lives the same way HJ did, when he was a little boy in the present life. But unlike her, he never forgotten his memories growing up.

He actually call out SB name! But we see his dream and why he actually called out her name in his sleep LOL my nightmare/predicted annoyance cane true. She actually slept next to him. She knows he’s asleep and just saying things out in his sleep and she takes advantage of it. UGH I super love puppy in this episode! He’s the highlight of this episode! He’s like such a supporting 2ML, he even pushes DH towards SB. Wow. Puppy be mine please loll
