He’s acting like a boy in love, I don’t know what you expect. He’s looking for her best interests and he was unofficially adopted into her family for most of his life. She does the same for him and look out for him as well. Not sure why he has to “respect” the boss when the boss was using him to get to her and he sabotage his unofficial sister/crush career. ML is doing the same just to be closer to her. They’re both trying to create opportunities to be with her. So I don’t see the problem lol It’s all the same.

She’s an adult. She had an amazing father growing up until he passed away. She doesn’t get a pass just because she had sufferings growing up. Most people have sufferings growing up. You might as well excuse YJ as well because she had an awful mother growing up. If you think about it, YJ could had turned out worse . Your background can influence you but ultimately it’s up to you on how you choose to live your life. There are many cases where kids who had awful parents turned out to be decent adults or even great ones and vice versa. If you want to justify SB actions, do the same for YJ. It’s not fair to do one or the other. If you go to court and argue, judge please forgive me because I had a terrible upbringing, that’s not going to work. Just my opinion.

Thank you for talking to me as well. I agree with basically the outline of what you stated. Every character in this drama all needs to go through growing pains and grow as characters and learn to repent for their questionable actions. But I personally cant do the same and give SB much slack because she’s a grown-up. Yes she has a troubled past but many people suffered in different ways in life as well. It’s not like she didn’t have a loving family her entire life. She had a terrific father until he passed away. If we were to excuse her because of that, I can also excuse YJ because she has a terrible, awful mom growing up. Surprisingly, you would think YJ would be worse with such a mother. Your background can influence you growing up but ultimately it’s your decision on how to navigate your upbringing. Some people have awful parents, and they themselves turned out relatively decent or even great. And yes! JCW is a gifted thespian! I hope he chooses a meatier role, like a revenge melodrama next time lol

I agree, the entire cast of characters are flawed but the topic of question is SB, so I’m only here to critique her. And honestly, her character bothers me more than YJ. YJ is no saint herself but SB is not one either, some people are painting SB in such a positive light that it troubles me personally. We don’t know how DH would react to her in ep 2 or ep 10 because she did both uncalled things to him while he is sleeping. I can’t stand YJ mother, someone needs to drop a house on her lmao. DH on the other hand is enabling the people around him by not speaking up and confronting them and communicating his needs and his discomforts (YJ, SB, his sister, etc). I hope to see him grow a backbone. I enjoy seeing JCW in different roles besides action roles but I want him to sign up for characters that have rich developments but I don’t see much growth here, but regardless, his acting is still phenomenal here, he is doing his best with this lackluster script.

I did not say she’s a stalker but she honestly does show some questionable qualities. She knows he has a girlfriend after working there but she still puts herself in situations where things can happen. The misunderstandings are her fault and DH as well. Ex piggy back riding. No boss would give their female employee a piggyback ride as a reward. YJ is also unquestionably a bad girlfriend but regardless SB isn’t clean herself.

I watched all ten episodes and in my opinion, he’s both comfortable and uncomfortable with SB at certain scenes. I didn’t really like her touching him and getting closer to him when he was asleep on ep 10.

I honestly get the same vibes. I posted similar comment after watching episode 9. I’m not watching this drama expecting a great romance, I’m just here for jcw. Sb isn’t a minor on the drama. She was 19 when she kissed him. It’s still awkward because she’s a high school student despite her age.

I can kind of see the stalking behavior. Sb liked him since she was a kid at karate. Therefore she always had him on her mind and she randomly kissed him and applied to work at his store. And she kept his discarded teddy bear for three years. And she infringed on his personal space all the way to episode 10. She’s really too touchy with her hands. It’s really creepy, if you think about it.

Your words are too strong. I get it, you’re disappointed. But it is not that serious. Yes JCW made a few bad career choices but he’s just like every other celebrity. No one has a perfect track record.

In the drama, SB is 19. But besides that, I agree. In my opinion, the webtoon is very problematic but the drama does tone it down but not enough. It’s still problematic. Every episode, I can’t stop thinking and i said this before, why did JCW and the rest of the crew decided to pick this webtoon out of the millions of webtoons in existence? There are many better ones that would suit jcw and the talented cast members. Remove the problematic issues in the webtoon, and the story is still very bare and minimal. I unfortunately have to agree that jcw dancing with dreadlock dude on his ig was distasteful, I’m a huge fan but I’m not going to defend that lapse of judgment.

I’m thinking time jump will happen. But SB and DH will end together. That’s a definite.

I’m only pushing myself for JCW. In my opinion, ep 9 and 10 is more of the same, there’s some lovely moments but it doesn’t justify the weak story. The story is something we seen a million of times. Miscommunication pushes the story just like in dinner mates but at least in dinner mates there’s more going on. If you’re not a huge fan of one of the actors, I wouldn’t recommend it.

There were some touching moments on ep 10 but besides that it’s kinda boring. I’m a huge JCW fan and I’m trying my best to finish this drama just to support him. I hope he chooses a better script next time, I vote for either melodrama or historical drama.

The end of ep 10 bothered me, SB is like a creeper, she puts her hand on his chest while he’s asleep and she approaches closer and closer to him. I’m sorry, SB needs to back up and stop invading his personal space. They are still only friends and he’s asleep. Imagine if a guy did this to a girl. No no no.

Finally they broke up but even so, it’s frustrating. We know YJ is not going to disappear. It’s like the show doesn’t care that dreadlock friend is one of the weakest links of the show but they increased his arc by giving him a love interest and why do they keep showing perverted scenes ? It’s like the production team doesn’t care about any of the backlash they are receiving.

It is not that I don’t want to see Ji Chang Wook in romantic comedies but he chose bad romcom scripts that is damaging his career. BR at this rate might be worst than MMS in my opinion.

JCW and KYJ does have chemistry but it’s the kind of chemistry you see between siblings. Puppy and SB is the right ship to sail on.

I guess for myself, I don’t mind since I loved WJ so much I was sad to say goodbye to her, I’m glad I get to see WJ-ish so soon for another 8 weeks haha I just looked up the director, coincidentally he was also the director for chief Kim. What are the chances lmao

I don’t feel the same way because just like in MPB, this drama is also a comedy and she is the main lead. So if her character was to act mature all the time, it would be boring. If she was to act silly in a melodrama, then I would agree lmao idk if you watched Chief Kim but if his character were to act mature instead of silly, it wouldn’t be the same. Same for love from another star.
