She announced her withdrawal from her current agency she's affiliated with, as well as retirement from entertainment industry, effective December 31, 2023.
I hope she will still find happiness outside the showbiz and there's no wrongdoings.
Arguably the most memorable among the Fukuoka Ren'ai to date (late 2023). Very heartfelt, informative, and well-acted, especially from Nao as the deaf girl.
Trivia: the university the leads attended (Kyushu Institute of Technology) is a very real university located in Kitakyushu (where the story is set).
I wish Tsurukame Josanin was subbed, touching story and acting. Not to mention she’s really beautiful 😍
Yeah totally underrated and overlooked show, though if it's aired now it might've received barrage of criticism for being a bit too 'politically correct', especially from the international fandom. Still wonder how did she managed to figure out to emulate the gestures of pregnant woman so effortlessly (especially in the last 3 episodes) - mind you, she was still unmarried and had no prior experiences on conceiving a baby at that time of the filming. Brilliant acting IQ.
BTW a bit off topic - if you like Tsurukame, then Lion no Oyatsu is also right up your alley - the same cadence, original material (a novel) was from the same writer too.
Crazy underrated ex-child prodigy virtuoso. I wonder what happened to her that she isn't as popular or at least getting elite projects (like let's say Ando Sakura) as it could've been.
Or perhaps it's her who chose not to soak too much attention and pressure?
Very sloppy writing, but holy cow the level of acting is quite intense. If you enjoy watching (or scouting lol) relatively obscure young actors battle it out, you'll be able to tolerate the massive gaping plot holes somewhat.
Stand out performances: the lead duo Nezu (can't believe dude is JE member, strong candidate for "I Can't Believe He/She Can Act Award" this year) and Inukai (no surprise), Yamaguchi (that epic long take in ep.3 - Beast Performance), the Youtuber dude (forgot his name), Reika (the rebellious girl).
things like Mikio's two videos before and after his experiment in making nezu kill him failed and him saying that…
I concur. For someone uninterested in reading the original material, not revealing the motives of the teacher is bonkers decision by whoever writing the script.
I've heard there are short spinoffs out there, depicting the back story of some of the characters, which explain their underlying motives and set the stage of the events in the main series. Perhaps it does shown in one or two of the spinoff episode but who knows. And that being said, they should've retained that in the main plot anyway because it's so important.
