broo its a fricking apocalypse, they are runnig on survival instinct. what do you expect them to do, everybody…
it isn't teens, it's bad writing. I've seen zombie shows and movies with teens where they know how to behave due to experience. See a loved one turn, bite your hand to prevent a scream. Cheong San was shush'd by his friends (great response on their part) but the writing needed zombies to attack an masse so they had him yell MOOOOM even though he was the most conscious of people's safety among the gang. Mom or not. That wasn't in character. That was change in character to fit the plot.
Yes agree. But also in fairness, even if i find almost all the girls selfish, the boys are somewhat likeable...
you make good points though I have to say that I don't find drama acting to be very good. I think that most actors get a pass on visuals. At least male characters are allowed to be charming. female ones seem to have a mandate to be cold, arrogant, standoffish, etc. Someone seems to mistake that as character strength but it only makes me drop a drama (like I did with My Name) or skip the scenes with such character (like I did with Vincenzo FL and Krystal in Prison Playbook). I really didn't like the bullied hambie girl from All of Us either. Bad actress and pointless character.
Actually I thought about it and rewatch the series this weekend, and if you see the hint in the promo pics they…
Loved Sweet Home, burned through All of Us despite flaws but hated My Name so I dropped it and put the lead actress on the black list. Will avoid anything she is in. Charisma black hole without any expression. Can't stand frozen tilapia actresses. Unfortunately, K actress are 50% frozen food, 45% annoying overactors.
"why they didn't realize Nam Ra could just walk within a zombie horde without getting attack. "Cause no one would…
Gwi Nam was entertaining af! He annoyed me at the start of his hambie run but then I really got into it and had fun with his falling, getting up, snapping his bones back and muttering "f***er". :) :) :) If I had my way, I'd keep him as the only hambie (since they wanted to have hambies on the drama) until he bit Cheong San. Than Cheong San should have been the second. That would give his romance some meaning. On Jo realizes she loves him but they can't be together cause he is now a danger to her and everyone else. Bittersweet ending. He was the group's protector and now the only way to protect them to leave them cause he was the threat.
also, unlike 70% of heroic gang, Gwi Nam had personality. He was an actual character. You can't say this for lets say the girl who survived and whose name nobody knows cause she was such nothing of a character.

yep and don't get me started on UNNECESSARILY cruel and prolonged Cheong San death! Beaten to a pulp! Bitten! Eye gouged! Engulfed in flames while falling down! It's as if the writer really hated this character and poured all his/her resentment into his death. And then shafted him by changing the focus to Nam Ra Sue the resident Plot Armor X Man. Woof!
Ive never seen it but i dont know if thats the way NamRa is in the webtoon. What im wondering is for all the supposed…
that's the OP (overpowered) character conundrum. If you give them powers, they have to use them, but that would kill suspense and basically end the drama in an episode. If you give them powers but they don't use them, they come off passive and frankly selfish. Literally over 5-6 lives would have been saved if she got out and started breaking zombie necks until the path was clear for her friends. Such stupid character that has quite a following for some reason. I think her fans imagined she was cooler than she really is.

inconsistent writing. and you also noticed that, when the gang reunited with her, she and he didn't have a moment alone. romance was...forgotten. Instead, she had a moment with On Jo lol. It's as if the drama shifted focus from Nam Ra/Soo Hyuk romance to Nam Ra/On Jo whatever that is (friendship, hey-thanks-for-not-eating-me-after-all) and forgot about the former. Also, making the last 20 min or so about her is frankly bizarre cause Cheong San was the lead and by shifting the focus, he felt irrelevant and his death kind of a shrug. Such a weird ending that felt more like a set up for Nam Ra Sue spin-off than the ending of All Of Us Are Dead. The whole point of the drama was ordinary kids in extraordinary circumstances, so ending it with an X Men character was just oof.
Actually I thought about it and rewatch the series this weekend, and if you see the hint in the promo pics they…
it takes time to get going in episode 1. but once it gets going...I think that perfectly edited previews with colors and classical music hooked the audience.
Don’t even get me started on Ohn Joo’s dad. All this suspenseful build up all for him to die within seconds…
Oh I agree with that. I'm just saying it's unavoidable in this genre because it moves the plot forward and creates suspense about who makes it and who doesn't. IMO, much bigger problem with this drama is plot armor. You could see who will make it to the end, and who will make it near the end. Guy who harbored unrequited love was going to be the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good. Hence why I resent Woojin's unnecessary death after that fact. Once Cheong San died, everyone who lived til that point should have lived. Imagine if Train to Busan killed Gong Yoo's daughter or pregnant woman after he sacrificed himself to save them? So yes, this proves your point - terrible execution.
Another one pretending to be a hot-shot expert. In real life, we wouldn't act much different under such circumstances.…
pretend to be an expert at what? it's a review. Of a very flawed TV drama that thinks it's smarter than it really is. And review pointed that out. If you think this is 10/10 by all means write a hosanna.

"Nothing is worse than stupid noble idiocy deaths"
While I agree with this, that's also a staple of zombie genre. You either get used to it and accept it as a part of the package, or avoid the genre altogether.
Fully agree on this . Some other points 1. Whenever a character becomes significant , the show kills them or turns…
suspension of disbelief my friend. I was more upset that infected BFF was picture of health until her BFF pointed out she was bitten. Immediately she got symptoms and turned. I hate this cliche. Can't everyone STFU about bites and gunshot wounds (an otherwise healthy strong character collapses upon hearing he has a gunshot wound) cause characters would clearly live if that wasn't pointed out? ;)
broo its a fricking apocalypse, they are runnig on survival instinct. what do you expect them to do, everybody…
eh if they were running on survival instinct than they wouldn't scream MOOOOOM when they knew that zombies react to sound. or run towards danger because your crush from 20 min ago, who you also know likes another girl, decided to play a hero. Just classic teen drama drivel.
Yes agree. But also in fairness, even if i find almost all the girls selfish, the boys are somewhat likeable...
most ML and male characters in dramas are more likable than Fls and female characters. There's something about writing female characters and actresses approaching them that doesn't click. For example, I really liked Mijin cause she felt like a real person. But what was Nam Ra actress trying with her character? Asperger? Just painfully shy? No idea.
yea they should have cut it down to 7-8 eps or something and focus more on the high schoolers like they supposed…
social problems didn't hit the mark precisely because they were afterthought. They showed social problems through rich and welfie dynamic among high-schoolers. Outside world ones were not needed because they were an afterthought that felt exactly like that. Do or don't.
Thats what i thought too, too many storylines that didnt pan out to anything in the end.
typical K drama malady. they love their filler that doesn't pan out. All of them suffer from too many characters and sideplots. Squid Game, arguably most steamlined drama, also had that policeman infiltrator subplot that didn't go anywhere.
Agree on all your points, especially "A fight between her and GwiNam could have been epic." I got my hopes up…
"why they didn't realize Nam Ra could just walk within a zombie horde without getting attack. "
Cause no one would die in that case. That's a problem with overpowered characters. They could end the problem right there but because the story is mandated to stretch for 12 episodes, powers are used arbitrarily so that the problem persists. Therefore, Nam Ra couldn't run errands while her friends chilled in safe places cause where's the suspense of who lives and who dies?
You know how you solve this? Don't overpower anyone. halfbie nonsense was not needed because it raised exactly these questions.
Ive never seen it but i dont know if thats the way NamRa is in the webtoon. What im wondering is for all the supposed…
that's because she was solely focused on saving her love interest. she never butted in unless he was attacked. Notice that she never applied her strength to break any of 2000 locked doors they hit per episode. Basically, no threat to Soo Hyuk, no help from her.
also, unlike 70% of heroic gang, Gwi Nam had personality. He was an actual character. You can't say this for lets say the girl who survived and whose name nobody knows cause she was such nothing of a character.
