it's really just terribly bad. from the very just bland acting to the terrible script and plot, the humour and character development, everything was just not good. not even the couples' chemistry is worth it, and despite the countless kisses towards the end, they're just not watchable at all.
he really gotta tell her. at this point I don't think I would take him back. if they weren't dating already it would be different but now he's just fooling around with her. also, what's his goal here? if she falls in love with his physical self then she'd still be unfaithful to his digital personality. so you really cannot win.
Honestly, I know he did dumb shit too, but I feel like ML is mostly just getting punished for not reciprocating FL's feelings as fast as she wanted to. She had 5 years to cultivate her feelings and this guy was forced to get married to her. She grew impatient and won't believe him when he denied to not have any feelings for SFL any more. For every misunderstanding she had, she really only had to confront him, and he would've explained it. With all that FL has been doing (not consensual sex bc he was drunk out of his mind, not telling him she's preggo, just quitting her job and divorcing him without any kind of explanation) she is really manipulating him, but somehow she's the angel in this drama because ML wasn't so fast to realize that he likes her. He was supposed to immediately accept her as his wife when they had this whole contract going on. He didn't even know she liked him at all, just like she didn't caught on the hints that he already likes her, so I'm really just mainly pissed at FL, because she acts like he had treated her horribly when she really wasn't any better, and now that he literally came back to her and refused to divorce her, she still thinks he doesn't like her?? Like how? It's just dumb, yall.
Theory: I think Doo Shik lost his best friend in a car accident (where he maybe was driving), and his best friend was maybe married with a baby. The writers are most likely trolling us with the picture in the book where the face of the man is not shown (could also be his parents, but why don't they show his father then), and in the funeral scene the deceased seems to be a man, too. I think if he had been married with a child and had lost them, he would be much more resilient to even approach Hye Jin.
A second season for what??? Especially if Jo Bo Ah doesn't join, what's the point of the first season? If they're not doing a sequel for Kim Bum, I don't want it.
Ugh. The leads are both so equally dumb. The SFL is annoying af, the sister annoying af, all this dumb af misunderstandings because nobody cares for clarification and goes on to assume all by themselves and everybody else keeps on telling half the facts, half-truths and don't bother to explain. They constantly fall into some easily avoided schemes. I feel like it's time to drop this now. I like the leads together, but people in the comments are right, the script is just so poorly written. And at this point tell me how this drama is different from You Are My Destiny? It even has the same lead.
Includes: Black stereotypes and cultural appropriation, black-facing/black-fishing, oversexualization of Black people, colourism, tokenism, Uncle Tomfoolery
The sexual harassment is strong, though. They think it works because she's a female CEO, but honestly, the way she abuses her money and power to force him to be near her, so that she can abuse him some more.... I just don't know how this passed anybody's censorship.
I dropped it at ep 13 because it became a chore to watch it. I find it so boring, and I dislike most of the characters more than I could like them. Especially ML is just so terrible in my eyes and his change after he fell in love so extreme and dumb, really. But, oh my, I must've missed a bullet with this one, seeing how everybody hates the ending (I would too, would I care for anybody). So, I guess, my Kdrama senses kicked in with this one again. I'm just sad that I couldn't finish it because Jung So Min is one of my top favourite actresses.
It's good and bingeable, but somehow there's something missing at the end. The plot twist wasn't really shocking, even if I didn't expect it at all, it just rather made me sigh. I was much more interested in Hwang Joon Ho's storyline, but the way they wrapped it up, I'd have to watch a second season ... however, a second season would be rather unnecessary I think. The people behind the games were much more interesting, and I would like to know their villain origin story.
Not one character has it, and you cannot find it in any plot point or scene.
