I have found out that, usually dramas that are fully produced by streaming services like Netflix or Disney+ i.e. web series, have unsatisfactory subtitles. Gyeongseong creature also had very poor quality subtitles.

I also thought the same way while watching this. How is ML ok to work under a rapist? Why are they playing silly music during his scenes? Why are they showing us, his struggles during military? Does it make him better, if he loves his dog? What a joke. AND I don't give two f**K's about his abusing mom and childhood.

You can watch it, if you want. It became too boring for me after 8-9 eps and I didn't want to continue it. Idk maybe you will like it.

I dropped this after episode 8 or 9, so idk what ML did during the last 5 episodes. But, till where I watch, he was a very patient guy who tolerated a very naïve FL.

Nah, she never acted as a team leader, in regards to ML. And FYI, it was not ML'S fault that he got put in her team. He never wanted to be in her team, but was forced due to circumstances. It was actually Fl's and her superior's fault. Imagine if Ml was a normal guy, and not a chaebol heir. She broke a nose of an innocent man, who was catching a murderer, put him in cell for a day. If he was a regular guy, it would have only ended with apology and no consequences of her rash investigation. But he was not a regular guy lol. And nothing justifies police brutality on innocent people.
But I agree that Joonyoung deserved more hate than FL. Because he never tried to give Ml a chance. He had preconceived mentality about him, which he didn't want to change at all. It does not matter if Ml is helping them finding major clues during investigations, he never wanted to change his viewpoints about him. That makes his character, worse than trash in my opinion.

Someone said, that people rated this highly because Ahn Bo Hyun was dating Jisoo, when it was airing, and blinks rated this show high. And i completely agree with you. Looking at the comments I started watching this, thinking it was a good show(8.7 rating). But I am on ep 5 and on the verge of dropping it.

Is that why, this is so highly rated? What a joke, lol. This drama should be less than 8.5. Maybe around 8.2. Definitely not 8.7 tho.

Fr, I just started this and on ep 5, I am barely controlling myself from dropping this. I find FL and Sml to be annoying, incompetent and loser detectives. From the start, they were shown incompetent, FL arresting ML without proof in ep 1, constant hazing of ML and then blaming ML for the issues during investigation.
Especially in ep 5, she went off on ML saying why didn't he inform her about his clue. Girl, you have treated him like shit from day one, never guided him, made fun of him, and didn't do your duty as team leader. And you expect him to come to you? Plus she usually ignores his calls. smh
And what sort of detective are they, when rookie ML is always finding major clues to crack the cases?
As for sml, I don't want to waste my words on him. His character is trash.

I just started this and completed episode 1. Please spoil me below, if ML's brother is good or bad. I have a premonition that he is a villain. I may be wrong. But usually, there is always a cliche about power struggle in chaebol families, and lead's brothers or sisters mostly turn out to be bad guys.

True, it was marketed as some great romance drama XK and YZ, but in actual the main characters were FL and her mother. As a matter of fact, ML became a supporting character by the end of the show. Romance should be the last tag in this drama

I don't understand the hype for this. You should watch 'The Medium(2021)' movie. It was far better as compared to this one.

ML is also a good actor. You should watch his drama 'meet yourself'. It is similar to this drama.

Its common simping trope, present in most cdramas or kdramas. ML will always get the short end of the stick in different situations, and will have to please FL.

Why did they breakup? Is it because she discovered ML's true identity?

I thought there was time travel involved here. But after watching ep 1, they have shown a fictionalized version of South Korea, where there is a village who still keeps its Joseon traditions. ML is a scholar as well as heir of a noble family from that village.
