I was not sure but now watching more episodes of this, unfortunately I think the two main characters/actors feel too bland/distant for those kind of roles. I think something is lacking in their "chemistry". Less important characters are more interesting and they grab more my attention than them. It's well-made but everything seems drawn out, and in the end it is not that gripping. I'm dropping this. PS : Alcoholism must be a real problem in South Korea, seeing how their life turns around drinking alcohol. I guess it's a kind of escape and I wonder also about the level of cancers...
Mixed feelings about this series. Sometimes, it's really good, sometimes not so much. - The encounter with the aunt feels too much like "let's make the plot evolve because we need to". The coincidence feels too unbelievable. - They should have ended it with Tae Hyun rejection and his narcissist habit of using people . This conclusion was more believable than ep 7. And maybe make later a season 2 showing him growing up, healing and learning to be a better person...and eventually being finally able to love someone. - In general, I wish those series (not only astco) work more on the story and plot. You don't need a lot of money and a huge number of episodes to make a good story.
I have mixed feelings about ep 4 : some plot elements have been done so many times before (like the car accident...) and the acting can be a little awkward in some scenes. Still this is a very nice series, with good chemistry and some beautiful scenes and cinematography. And please no sad end. If it's the case, I'll drop it.
Well technically Poi is an abuser herself so they are believing what they claim they don't. I was and still am…
Ah I understand ;) It's a way to show that every "voice" is important and should be heard etc. right ? But in my case, I just won't be able to "believe". However, I can still "listen".
Putting this in a spoiler because it's not really about this series :) Just sharing my thoughts about this ! Sorry for the long comment :)
I don't particularly follow the actors of KP but a thought : if Build turns out to be the real victim, I won't dare to imagine how masculinists will use this. Considering the rigorism of some of the "feminist" speeches about this scandal, it's like giving those men and their ideology a free pass...
Another thought about the "better believe a potential liar than a potential abuser" principle :
- From a statistical point of view, in cases, women are indeed more often the victims of the violence and abuse of men. However it is a probability : often is not the truth in every case. Imagine a court making a verdict because the statistics say there is a high possibility ? - If gender is definitely a criteria of discrimination, it is also not the only one. Women in position of power abuse. Some white women can accuse black men. Some straight women can accuse gay men. Some women who are managers can harass employees. Some rich women have not the same opportunities in life as poor women. - False allegations don't help true victims. Those women who lie use the women who are real victims for their benefit. Who want to believe those kind of women ? - It's more a matter of finding the truth rather than taking a "side" : the problem is we don't know who is the real victim here, with two versions of a case.
What is the truth ? Well, it is neither statistical nor a slogan. But one thing is sure : when you care about human dignity in general, you don't use unethical means. Since it will be quite ironic that, for "good" purposes, you end up acting like the same people you fight against.
"Im sorry for hitting you, I did it because I loved you" said poi in a text. She hit him? 🤦♀️This keeps…
Apparently it comes from an audio ? But really everything seems so confusing for me and I don't really trust what is said on social media (from every side)...
I like the cinematography, the characters, the tone of the series etc. But they really need better plot and better acting in some scenes. A pity because this could have been great.
Noey pursuing Thi "fast" fits with Noey's character/personality. He's all-in, no matter what he does.
Oh yes, indeed it goes with his character, but not so long ago, he was very into pursuing Pam and now it's Thi. It feels a little too sudden, even with his all-in character. I was only bothered by this because it does feel a little rushed (well for me). But still this episode was really good and hilarious. Love it too !
We totally get you. It's okay if you don't vibe with the show. This show really has the most basic plot but what…
My all time favorite is Rak Diao ! I love it a lot ! if you can watch it, I recommend it ! And I'm still watching I will knock you and Never let me go. I quite like those two (for now). Otherwise, it is Lovely writer, Blueming , where your eyes linger, Word of honor, Stuck on you. My most anticipated bl are I feel you linger in the air and Step by step.

oh thank you for your nice message ;) ! Indeed, I think this series is just not for me. Or maybe I'm not in the mood to watch this. But I agree that the acting and chemistry is quite good ! I just think the plot/story is not something I can relate to. So well, life goes on. It's not so serious after all.
I think I have a problem with most of gmmtv bl series. I just can't get into them even if I try because it looks promising at the beginning ! They are well-polished productions but I think it often lacks "soul". This is also the case for this one. Even though it is well-directed and acted. I don't feel enough connected with the characters and end up pretty much indifferent to what is happening to them. I'm really really tired of the high-school background too. I also think what is at stake is also not enough for me to be still interested : follow your dream...don't disband the band, etc. That kind of message has been done so many times...and they don't bring anything new to it : that's why it's looking more and more like a convention/a norm than a real message. I wish they have brought a little more complexity in the story and also in the portrayal of some characters. Might drop this one in the end.
New episode was hilarious ! But I still feel like that Noey pursuing Thi openly now feels too fast in terms of character development. A pity because this was going so well. I will see if I still can believe that development in the next episodes because I was not really convinced in this episode by the "romantic" development. Still this is a very enjoyable and charming series !
I would be so into that plot twist. The only way for it to work would be for them to graduate from high school…
I think it will bring more complexity and ambiguity to his character if that was the case. But I still think he's hiding something. And something is telling me he's not the "good" little servant as he is portrayed for now in the series. Or maybe I don't want him to be too "good" ahah But I don't know indeed how they can explain this if that was the case (a "villain"). Though seeing the preview for the next episode, and the way Palm talks to his father, and complaining about their role as servants to the family (if I remember correctly) make me think Palm is more in a "gray" area. So yep, I think we have to expect some kind of plot twist with his character.
