I think it can make sense though ? If you have a reason you cannot tell or aren't able to tell ? If you're really insecure and not that confident ?
In fact there are many reasons....I'd understand the criticism if the reason given does not seem valid enough (though it can be debatable). But is it not too soon (as usual with some of you here) to judge this part of the series since we don't know that much Nubsib' reasons and background ?

Aey has flaws too...He's using Nubsib for popularity, selling their "ship"....manipulating Gene's feelings for Nubsib...I understand him and pity him but...everyone is "grey" in this series. They are nor good nor bad....just humans with dreams, ambition, desire and personal problems...

He's spoiled but not a bad person...Some of you judge him too harshly...Aey has flaws too...he was basically manipulating Gene in ep.5....he's not so innocent too...Everybody has flaws but you understand why they are like that.
