Anyone knows how this is trending on Netflix in terms of top 10 in different countries? Just hoping for a 2nd season but I know Netflix will be looking at viewership to judge if it’s worth funding.
Ok I’m genuinely worried about this but will try to be hopeful that the plot doesn’t get stretched thin to fit 20 episodes or get padded with boring or overcomplicated political splitting scenes. I’m just so tired of kdramas starting out well then experiencing a major dip in quality, taking my chance with this one because it’s actually entertaining and funny so far which I need badly right now.
I have been watching kdrama for more than a decade, but lately I have branched out to jdrama (as kdrama has become…
Hopefully this doesn't offend anyone as this is all just my opinion. I've honestly grown very, very tired of kdramas recently also, been watching a little over a decade and I knew I had to accept that I was done with them (for now, forever idk) when I couldn't even get through the critically acclaimed dramas because all i could see was the same old tropes and issues (to me anyway that seem common in korean society) that have just become such a turn off for me. This is after taking almost a year off from kdramas and coming back to check what i've missed, they just don't hold my interest and/or aren't very enjoyable for me anymore.
I've gone back to watching more western shows and anime and recently started watching a few old but popular jdramas like Nodame and Liar Game (and also airing jdrama called Cherry Magic which is love) and they are already such a breath of fresh air and the plots aren't torture dragged over 16 episodes. Since we're sort of in the same place, any recommendations for good jdramas? I don't care about genre, just want to dive in and figure out my preferences.
is it confirmed? I'm afraid netflix would do us dirty. It's an asian show after all and I have no idea about AiB's…
This show is getting recapped and reviewed on sites and blogs that don’t usually recap Asian tv shows and I’ve even seen a post on it on television subreddit on Reddit with nothing but rave reviews. Netflix puts out so much mediocre to bad releases that the good stuff rises and spreads through word of mouth. I am hardly a binge watcher, I lose interest in shows VERY easily (cancelled Netflix recently because of this) and I still stayed up till 2am binge watching this show because it was that gripping and interesting. I’ll be genuinely shocked if this is not a hit for Netflix eventually.
I haven’t been this devastated by the ending of a tv show episode ending since the revelation of bent neck lady on Haunting of Hill house. Just wow, this show has balls but I guess it’s to be expected since it was adapted from an anime.
