The chemistry between the leads added so much to their comedic skills. The opening scene is one for the drama books. So glad I found it. For anyone else that would like to watch it (Eng sub available):

With all the initial reviews and press I think My Daughter will be a much better investment. Just so glad I am able to watch it in the theatre!

So sad that the final production is disappointing. Was planning to see it in theaters this week but will probably not go since My Daughter is a Zombie will be shown in the US next week. Can't believe we have three interesting Asian films in theaters in three weeks. 😯 Two of them South Korean!!!

For as many short episodes as they had they edited them very precisely. Most of the series didn't feel rushed except for the ending. They introduced aspects in the last three episodes that felt added on, not connected to the main storylines, and ultimately made me question those choices. Overall, I would recommend this series. The two main couples have great chemistry and stories and their friends added color and real moments. Definitely also want to follow up and see some of the titles that they all have completed individually.

Was shocked to find out this movie is in a select number of US theatres this week (May 2025) even though it was originally released in 2023! We need more releases here.

Just discovered this show after watching Lin Yi and Esther in Ski into Love. How amazing to see them at the beginning of their snowboard journey. Am sure producers saw their chemistry here and cast them in the cdrama.

I am so jealous that you were able to meet the director and see it with more context. I agree with all your comments 100%. It would have been nice to see them grow as they experienced college. The next to final scene also made no sense. Why would he travel around the world to an event and then not go in because you thought she had a boyfriend? I guess since they had drifted apart he assumed she would have gotten into a relationship with her friend? As you said the English title didn't quite fit and the fact that she never figured out he was her friend and then he also never told her just left the audience feeling like part of the film was left on the cutting room floor. I still love the movie and rank it high on my overall school romance titles. It had a beautiful nostalgic vibe and told the story in a very honest way and true to how the characters would have acted at that age.

Didn't realize that. The leads were magnificent showing the reality of relationships vs. the fantasy that is kdrama. I only worry about conservative South Korean viewers seeing the more casual sex scenes/encounters as a justification to continue to discriminate against LGBTQ+ rights. I think they were needed to show the opposite... that Yeong did crave a lifelong love in addition to physical intimacy.

The three special episodes are available on the original platform iQIYI but under a slightly different name (I know not too intuitive). Look under the MDL specials entry. Quite a white ago I wrote down detailed instructions on how to find them.

Seriously?!?!? It was just released in the theatres in SK. The streaming and US distribution rights are sold separately. Searching for those myself. Wouldn't expect it would be available for free

For some reason the music in this drama really reminds me of 100 Days my prince (another excellent period drama with D.O from EXO)! Both of them were written so well with just the right mix of characters, drama, and romance!
