Real story starts post episode 6 (12 on youtube). Skipped most of the first half its a borefest, even the flashbacks.
Gotta commend characterization in this drama, really well done, though some characters were super infuriating. Here's from worst to best
Worst - 2ML (Luo Xi): A joker of a character, grinning like moron in all scenes even the sad ones. Actor nothing great too. Okay - Rest of the characters: They all played decent role never overstepping their boundaries. Good - FL (Xia Mo): I liked how her character underwent a lot of character development, getting entangled in a idiotic infatuation with the 2ML but then actually discovering true love with the ML. Also quite good acting by Barbie Hsu, with varied range of emotions. Best - ML (Ou Chen): This guy carried the drama on his back, if not for this guy this drama was a bust. The character growth, the acting, the chemistry, the character depth in itself, everything wonderfully done. Amazing performance by Peter Ho.
That's why I said to skip first few episodes, because they are filled with that hooligan of a 2ML. My rating for this was below 5 for first few episodes which changed to above 8 after completing it, that's how much Peter Ho carried this.
Idk why I thought it was going to have a happy ending, now I just feel heartbroken...
Because its classified as a rom-com and because it started on a very light and pleasant tone in start. This was never supposed to be the melodrama it became later on. I, for one, like melodramas still I got annoyed by second half too.
The problem is not about having a bad ending, it's about targeting the wrong audience and setting the wrong expectations.…
You said it! I think midway through writers forgot their own plot or maybe they had short term memory loss all along and we were the only ones who didn't know. Then they brought in catman to "invent" new plot because they didn't have any anymore.
As you said, it totally felt like a scam on completion. You know, sort of like, those dishes we order online that look very good on pamphlet but then actually turn out to be worse than a turd when home delivered.
WARNING! Avoid! Don't watch! Save your time but more importantly save your mind!
Read the reviews or comments if you don't believe me. And don't be afraid of spoiling yourself as its better to go in knowing than being ambushed later on.
To summarize it, this drama had plotholes throughout from the start but the romance and comedy carried it atleast. Sadly, with the introduction of 2FL and 2ML, comedy went down the drain and romance became scarce. Ofcourse the plot became super draggy simultaneously. Not to mention, the 2FL and 2ML were infuriating characters themselves too. With the intervention of the "catman", more plot holes appeared and suspension of disbelief became really hard to maintain. This all could have still been redeemed if they provided us with a good or atleast a consistent ending. The storywriters, sadly, couldn't even do that. This sad excuse of a plot is an insult to the actors because they delivered spectacular performance no matter how badly written the script was, especially Ok Taec Yeon and Won Ji An.
My recommendation, avoid this one if you can. I rated it justly so at 1/10.

People can handle sad endings, what people can't handle is a inconsistent and idiotic ending. A lot of dramas with sad endings have much much higher ratings.
After so many plotholes that that nonsensical cat introduced and after dragging on for so long if it was a simple ending people could have rated this decently. But the, oh so smart. writers thought they could actually fool their viewerbase. Well, the only fool I see here is the writers themselves tbh.

Zero communication, Zero explanations, Zero reactions while having late night visits with a love interest and yet she dares blame ML for misunderstanding?! It's YOU who was silent the whole time, it's YOU who IS lying the whole time, you idiotic pathetic excuse for a character!
I was waiting for the whole time for ML to tell FL that he is over her but ofcourse that won't happen. ML should have abandoned this stupid and unreliable person a long time ago.
Andrew carried this tbh but besides his acting the rest of the drama is just absurd and tiresome.
Ridiculous plot, nonexistent chemistry, wooden acting, no ost and a literal mess of characterization. Even after skipping from andrew's scene to andrew's scene this was a headache to watch! 3/10
episode 3 - i started this show quite late but before i started, i heard alot of negative reviews for Shin Hye…
Exactly, her interactions with other people from her past life made me like this too. Romance is good but I liked that part more. Especially, her interactions with her sister.
