Question(mild spoiler for those who haven't watched first episodes):What happened to sanha's sister? they mentioned…
sanha's family:
flashback with glimpse of what happen. kids left unattended and younger sister choked and end up passing away due to the accident. k drama version didn't explain where the parents where or what they were doing.
the family moved and relocated to a new home to start fresh/avoid gossiping. the mom is showing withdrawal/depression/sadness and finger pointing and blaming everyone (husband, son) and continues to argue with the husband daily blaming him for not being present.
c drama version: the dad works long hours as a police officer and is hardly home. the mom is a homemaker and takes care of everything in the household. she gets tired of this life and wants to do her own things. the mom wants to get away from being a 'mom' and left to play mah jong with her friends. before she left, she locked the door from the outside. the sister ended up choking on walnuts and ML tried to get help but can't b/c he's locked in and cannot reach anyone on the phone. he watched his sister died in front of him.
the family moved and relocated to a new city/home to start fresh. the mom is depressed and argues with the dad alot. she ignores the son and don't interact with him most of the time. she will blame him for not being a good big brother b/c he was the one who gave the walnut to his sister.
both drama have the similar plot but details are different. if you want a good drama, you should just watch 'go ahead' instead of this version. to me, this version felt very rushed and excluded a lot of things that makes/breaks the characters.
the korean drama remake is not as enjoyable to watch. there are a lot of story arcs and ties to cover that it can't be done in 16 episodes. i don't see the 2 families bond as a strong connection or have more meaning than that of convenience (adults: both are single dads with kids and being neighbors, kids: all lacking a parent figure with 2 having abandonment issues and one never having a mom figure).
my opinion is for the storyline/plot. for that, i find this drama fall very flat. ---everything was too rushed.
My heart ached for their bitter sweet story in the last couple of episodes. I could understand where the ML and…
you should read the novel...the storyline (minus the modern girl reliving in the history part) gives all the character a more dept and progress throughout.
moments in the novel that was excluded from the drama:
ML and FL (while engaged) had a playful/rough playing side to their relationship. they shared moments where ML would LOL heartily b/c of FL's personality and actions. he is brutally honest w/ FL and also teach her alot along the way. His happy moments were slowly rebuilt by the presence of ML.
after 5-6 years of separation, ML saw FL again and tried to let her go, wish her happiness...but the moment he saw again, he decided he can't let FL marry someone else. he fought shamelessly against the odds. there is this scene that was excluded in the drama: ML knelt down and hugged FL at the waist begging for forgiveness and a second change ---not for him, but for US. FL realized the heartache of their dilemma and let out a cry that was built up over the years (even though she was occupied serving the past queen and living in the palace just to forget him).
2ML's family got into a bad situation and it was ML who secretly helped his family overcome it...for the sake of FL. while ML exiled to the frontier, he was keeping track of FL's life and make sure she is ok. ML even make sure 2ML's family do not get in trouble and is doing well, for the sake of FL. After learning about what ML did, 2ML threw away his pride and told FL that he do not have to be acceptance of ML's olive branch but she cannot forget what ML did for her in the dark and that she should not waste a second chance.
after being engaged 3x, FL does not care about marriage. she told ML that if she wants to marry, it will come from her heart, not b/c of social status/pressure, expectations or royal decree. ML respond that he's willing to wait no matter what. he just wants to be in her life.
..and that's just some of the moments between ML/FL. some of the characters have different endings in the novel.
this drama adaption is not that bad...slight changes from the novel but it didn't stray too far. i just find the ending super rushed and that Yuan Shen's story was excluded. Even so, it was enjoyable to watch. Way better than other adapted novels -->drama.
Each and Every episode was superb. And the whole drama was totally worth it, A big Fuck You to those who says…
Being the guide director will tie DW down to the business in one place. She wants to be a business peddler and travel the world which is why she does not care for the guide director/lead assignment of responsibilities that comes with it. Besides love, she lived the rest of her life doing what is true to her aspirations. The shops were trusted to her colleagues to run/managed . That desert scene is important for trades and import/export of culture exchange during the Tang dynasty. I guess they want to close the drama with that history note: the Silk Road for the bigger picture.
that's the author's style of writing. he (or she???) gives the characters depts and growths through stages. afterall,…
Her first life wasn’t explained much on her in the army so the second life is like a walk through of the process. I suggest skipping the first 100 chapters and start reading mu hung Jin’s story arc.
https://kisskh.at/photos/d0xmDW_3Which character is this??? Hua youxian??
yes...i guess this character will get more exposure in the drama. she's supposed to be he yin's wife (in the novel, they are already married). not sure how the drama will spin it since they excluded shen muxue (the female doctor that fancies the ML and followed him to war in hopes that he will like her back, also the schemer to try to expose FL to try to separate her from the ML). maybe hua youxian will play that role of the jealous girl too.
I read the novel up to chp 80 and I drop. The story is quite slow. There is barely any progress. For more than…
