Yeah the English translation is confusing. I just listen to the audio in mandarin. Jiang Yue’er is the first daughter but from a concubine. Jiang Li is the second daughter in the Jiang family (first legit son) and first daughter from the legal wife (giving her a higher prestige). jiang Yue’er is only a memory and simply a waste of screen time if she is written in the drama. Jiang Yu you is the 3rd daughter but the first daughter of the second legal wife (married after the first wife died). So if Jiang Yue’er grew into adulthood, her mother’s background made her a concubine daughter and she will be treated and seen differently in the family and society status.

Jiang Yue’er was only 4 y/o and died in the novel. I really really hope that the drama will and follow the important details (minus the reborn) and cut out non important side stories like Jiang Li’s 2nd uncle and family. Their presence don’t make a dent and surely won’t effect the story. Fingers crossed!!!

I m sure @magnolia meant WJY looks too mature to play the JL. JL is supposed to be 15 only at the start of the drama. Her character is supposed to be a lil beauty (cute/docile/innocent looking), she can’t wear vengeance on her face like WJY. Even if XFF took over the body of JL, she is mature in thinking but looks is still youthful. GH is 24 in the novel.

I think they have to change things a bit so that it can pass censorship as they can't have a charecter die and…
It’s not reborn…more like take over from the description and from the list of limited roles, this drama is not going to follow the novel at all. The novel story is a very good thriller/read too!

You ll have to watch the drama WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS…Lol. the drama seems to be cutting out a lot of the sub stories and characters that made the novel enjoyable. I rather they make 2 seasons than trying to squeeze everything in one drama.
The storyline is pretty good but I find the first 100 chapters boring as it started from scratch in how the FL Have to start over to prove herself —-the second time. There are sub stories along the way that leads to the the bigger plot of the novel.
Overall it’s a very good read…I just hope the drama adapt the novel as close to the plot as possible and don’t kill the characters like other adaptions.

Well SY in the novel has like 2 sides: the strong outside exterior for what she do and a girly/playful/doting side when she is around HZ. I don’t see the personality character being the same. I rather have a good SLF story and screen time vs those annoying house wives.
