Opinion: I would enjoy this drama more if JJY (FL) didn’t get cast as the lead. Her acting is the same as all the other roles (in all her other dramas) and it’s just boring. She’s just cute/pretty to look at. The drama storyline is very good and suspenseful but the FL acting do not bring out the original coroner’s character/personality.
I also agree with you but I think the intention of the makers is to spread the positivity from each character.
It’s all too fluffy to give drama ML the persona. I rather see the characters growth more internal dealing with his insecurities and challenges vs chasing a dream, success. It’s life to have ups and downs…but I guess this drana is more everyone must be happy. It’s still an ok drama…that have the redundant theme of previous dramas.
Lol…the drama killed off ML’s dad! In the novel, his dad is alive but not involve in his life…dad is pretty much a dead beat. Drama probably had to change it to pass censorship as this does. It promote a healthy family image.
His story background: His parents got married mainly due to conceiving him. Under that circumstance, the dad has a sort of resentment to family life. He was an absentee and irresponsible father figure and do not help out with his upbringing. His mom finally fed up and divorced the dad and took ML away. ML’s name was Lin Xun but after the divorce, the mom had it change to Gu Xun, taking her legal name. The mom is way over involve and makes decisions without ever asking what ML wants/needs, as she felt whatever decisions she makes is for his best interest (e.g. changing the last name). So in the novel, FL was introduced by his mom and ML was being rebellious to his mom’s arrangement that he resented FL and kept her at a distance, even though they attended the same college. ML uses Lin Xun on the games instead of Campus Hunk, the name changed happen when he was in high school. Due to that only Camel and Wheat knows he was previously Lin Xun.
His complicated family dynamic makes him see relationships as troublesome until he started liking the online persona of FL. His family upbringing affects the way he looks at love and a scenario that happens in the novel…which won’t make it to the drama.
This drama put too much focus on the aspirations of career vs other things. The book is all about ML and FL’s relationship and growth together. ML is super shameless and takes initiative in the novel. even though Lin Yi plays him pretty well, the script does not do the character much justice.
You get, like she's an almighty who's higher than every other person. The show is quite ok but they're too far…
She has information on her dad’s laundering company money. If uses that, her grandmother will disown her father and make her the sole heir. Rich people have power to ruin the poor. So everyone treads carefully in this drama. You get treated on how much you are worth.
same creator to "only for love', where I took my lesson from it, not a good one.
Ok that makes sense with all the dumb fluff scenes and character changes/add on. Same creator…argh!!! They are killing the quality of the dramas potential!
I have to say, this episode is hands down the best one for me. Qian Ling's attitude is simply electrifying, it's…
FL is the type all or nothing. She’s immerse with a goal and if that goal is no longer possible, she drops it like a hot potato and move on. There is a part in the novel that doesn’t seem to make it to the drama: he shadows her on her lunch items and buy the same thing as her. I sure hope the drama includes more of these interactions.
