i noticed that the female beauty in the author's novels are usually the girl next door/fair/cute/dainty/petite (when they clean up or take up a more noble lady aura) in terms of beauty standards and the male is like strikingly hot/handsome/clever/brainy...which makes the casting a challenge.

both characters' stories are the main epic point of the novel...so hopefully the drama encase that! i think dylan wang could pull off ML. For the guys list, there are endless options b/c hot guy actors are endless in the entertainment industry...however, not sure about MZY. I love her as an actress but i do not see her as a Shen Miao.

i would say she just have the advantage of her tragic first life to guide her to change her fate the second time around. i would say she's adaptive and schemes well.
