ikr!!! and what makes me irritated even more is she makes fun of his effort starting his own business. she always brags to her bestie she has been friend with him for 10yrs so she knows every single thing about him, but in fact she knows nothing. ofc starting a business is not easy, but underestimating someone's effort to rebuild his life is red flag for me.

the cafe is created so that the volunteer work can continue its activity. it is a place where the volunteer members can come and go whenever they want. it is not a place that belong to eunho only. it is belong to jihyuk and other members also. the owner helped eunho before. she can help jihyuk this time if she wants because she is the owner. and i'm sure she will do the same to the other members if they have no place to go.
jihyuk said he will work as quite as possible so he won't bother eunoh. when he built a window for the storage room (you know how stuffy it is because it has no window), he built it high enough to make sure eunoh won't see his face. he is already considerate enough for eunoh. but what eunoh did so far? when the owner said "please understand (i want to help him)", does eunoh REALLY try to understand? she is just selfish, self-centered brat who can't control her emotion after rejection.

it seems that when children get married, parents give them money as a gift (maybe this is a culture in korea?). Where does he get the money if he doesn't work? And he has three children. i think the conversation between the dad and his friends (also jihyuk and his friends) in restaurant will answer your question why the father wants to keep working even after his retirement.

I really like your interpretation and it's so well written too. Even though many people say the story is bad/boring, each episode makes me look forward to the next one. Maybe because the story depicts reality nowadays? different perspective between older and younger generations, parents who force their value on their children without trying to understand their feelings, when the home no longer feels like home because it's full of pressure. I felt sorry for JH when he had to cancel his plans to live alone. I do think he really needs his own space. Sometimes we get to know ourselves better and figure things out in life when we live alone and away from our family.

The conversation between father and son in episode 6 was so good. I think I can relate to JH. And I don't think what he said to his father is wrong. "Don't force your children to follow your values", "that's just how my life has been". These hit hard for me.

I also can't judge the transactional marriage that jh chose as right or wrong because such marriages happen in the real life, not only among chaebols but also ordinary people (for whatever reason). Moreover, it was a marriage that was agreed by both parties.

When he said "you don't suit me", I think it means we have different perspectives in life. Love for eunho is pure. Love like we see in the romance movies or books that we read. Heart fluttering, beautiful, and positive kind of love. but for jihyuk, love (or relationship) is not like that. So, I think he only dates women who have the same definition of love (relationship). People who see the world the same way as him.
