I'm trying to figure out the timeline with the synopsis. I was low key expecting half of it to happen in the first five or six episodes but so far it looks like it's simply spoiling the whole thing?
Chen Jia better be on our couple's side in this life or i'll riot. Episode 23 (22?)took all my tears of the day.
it's not often we see the evil step sister being redeemed and I always want to root for them. I feel sad that Ming'er didn't get the love she wanted from Shou Gu as i'm a sucker for sisterly bonds... I love our main girl but Ming'er deserved so much better from everybody.
finally starting it! (i was in the middle of a rewatch of the Double) Just realized ML is Yuan Shen??? his love gazes were top notch in LLTG, i'm looking forward to it. Also how can this FL be so beautiful?
But question... wherever you're at right now, can we expect a HE or a SE? I need a successor to The Rise of Ning or Destined, not something that'll wreck my heart again
Starting episode 6. I like it, her wardrobe is on point, but it's getting kind of repetitive? I guess I was expecting some kind of character development by this point? Also y'all tell me I have to root for Da On when there is Bael chemistry?
Definitely rewatch material. I loved the actress and her character so much, I love how trusting they were towards each other and I loved how the show didn't focus too much on secondary characters. But the end was so anticlimactic: the investigation, how they trapped the main bad guy and SML doing SML things. No thrill at all, very underwhelming.
But I did enjoy how it was relatively low stakes and how their families approved of each other so easily. They all just want Yining back. The first 36 episodes were absolutely perfect and I had a cheesy smile on my face all the time.
to past me who was still hoping for the fifth sister to redeem herself and not be the most irritating character: don't waste your time. The father is despicable, but this girl is the worst; she had so many opportunities to learn from her mistakes but no, why bother.
I do not understand why some people are having trouble with the FL and her voice. I absolutely LOVE her and so…
1. the dad and the dumb stepmom. Awful characters. When you think you've found the worst c drama parental figure, you get another one.
2. how ambiguous the writers seem to make the relationship? He learns about her parentage episode 8 but she has no idea... why does she seem to already think of him as a man? Falling in love with your half sister when you know she's not actually related to you -and you've known her for like two weeks- and falling in love with your brother you believe is your brother is not the same thing. Is this gonna be a thing now? Or are we going back to sibling boundaries until she learns the truth?
I do not understand why some people are having trouble with the FL and her voice. I absolutely LOVE her and so far (episode 9), she's the soul of the drama. What I'm not super into is:
Please tell me the ridiculous evil stepmom is actually quickly dealt with and that the father/daughter and sibling relationships improve before the end? (mostly siblings, I'm tired of those useless, heavily brainwashed fathers)
took all my tears of the day.
