Is Yena and Yu jeong's friendship just toxic or something else is going on. Did they have some sort of deal because…
I think it's more than that. Yu Jeong seems like an ambitious student that thinks about her future. Her getting into a student council, being top student and being in prestigious school in general gets her more chance to get into better universities and having better career and life in future, because I don't think her family is much well off, at least not like her peers (I'm guessing that's why Yena and the rest of the squad look a bit down on her). But yeah, I think that's that.
Blossom, cdrama currently airing with interesting plot and great chemistry between main leads. Also, The Apothecary Diaries, fun and interesting anime with amazing FL and ML being whipped for her (she being totally oblivious). Great plot and characters.
Fleabag, Hacks, Broad City, Silo, We are lady parts, Only murders in the building, Wandavision, Call the midwife, Somebody somewhere, Ginny and Georgia, Loot, Agatha all along, The power, Dune prophecy, The great, Evil. These are all women led western shows that feature complex female characters that are not focused (just) on marriage and family.
Lol I am guessing you didn't watch many recent western shows. Or the ones you watched are male centered where a lot of times women characters are just plot devices and rewards for MLs. A lot of modern western shows are focused on complex female characters that make their own choices in how to live their lives and are more similar to women in real life. Of course if you are watching shows from 90s and 00s you will see flat female characters serving one purpose and that is being wife and mother. As a woman I am glad the western entertaiment is slowly recognizing that for a lot of their audiences that is not enough and are showing different views of womanhood (and not just being a mother and wife). If you don't like that well tough luck, go find something that is more to your tastes, there is plenty of it. Cheers
Because for majority of asian drama like this audience are women and a lot of drama writers too, so romance dramas…
If you looking for more complex and quality dramas than this one, try search for it on chinese douban app (just search for ones with higher rating) or try cdrama recommendations subreddits on reddit. Just as in other forms of media (like music, movies or books), more hyped media is easier to obtain and if you have different taste than majority, you will have to search for dramas that fits your taste. They exist but probably are not very hyped or appealing to most of the people. Unfortunately, I an novice in cdramas so I can't recommend you something.
why do men simps a lot in recent cdrama with the lady having too many guys wanting to die for her but the ML only…
Because for majority of asian drama like this audience are women and a lot of drama writers too, so romance dramas like this caters to female audience. Just like a lot of western shows caters to male audience (with MLs being strong capable men that has the multiple women simp for them - not all ofc, that's just an example and a generalisation). There is a lot of asian dramas that explore different themes and not just romance, but this kind of drama sells better so... I am saying this as a fan of dramas like Blossom. So basically majority of dramas are like this because they are more in demand and bring more profit.
I need more books/manhwa/dramas with this trope: ML keeping his marriage with FL a secret and when they start…
There is similar short subplot in No Gain No Love but I don't think there were adultery accusations. Most of the drama, the marriage between the mains is kept secret tho
5 days to go 🙂↕️ requesting emergency recommendations for drama series please! only 1 requirement: male…
If you have a reddit account you should try to request it on r/kdramarecommends subreddit. Even if you don't have it, try to scroll throught it,maybe there are similar requests.
Anyone else feeling some lines are reaaaaaally pro marriage and like walking the fine line between horny and abusive/very…
yes yes, I agree. While I loove the drama and the couple, in real life I would stay away from a man like ML. It is important to know the difference between fiction and real life.
Not really a spoiler but a comparison of the drama's character with the one in the novelBaek Sa Eon here is so…
Agree. In the novel, there are scenes where he is borderline physically abusive and she is basically scared of him. While drama ML is not perfect he seems much less red flag than in the novel.
But yeah, I think that's that.
Btw, your pfp is perfect :)
Also, The Apothecary Diaries, fun and interesting anime with amazing FL and ML being whipped for her (she being totally oblivious). Great plot and characters.
Also love your pfp!
