Loved this drama so much - will probably re-watch it fairly soon. The romance, family and friend relationships was shown in a realistic and genuine way. All characters were complex and like real people - holding many truths at the same time. Also, the male characters were not toxic - one is not a man by being toxic to others and posturing. There was no toxic romance and even Lu Ming himself realized the truth and stopped instead himself instead of continuing on a path of self-destruction in terms of morality and self-respect and becoming a one-dimensional villain. Also, loved how Yuan Song’s family was never against the relationship, which was quite refreshing. Just a little too much dragging through the relationship of Lu Ming and Fan Xing - it was as difficult to the audience to drag through as for her… Finally, I loved how Fan Xing was the one pursuing Yuan Song - it was not almost a reluctant acceptance of the relationship and their feelings as in the beginning, but she had made her decision and was ready to fight for him.
Really loved the drama - healthy romance and relationship. Acting was superb. Took me 3 years to watch this after watching LJS in “V.I.P.” … gave me the creeps so bad in that movie. His acting is always on point - now rewatching an old favorite “I Hear Your Voice”.
It was good, some parts were really weird tho, and kinda unrealistic. Like you can't be in the same condition…
I loved the show but I agree - they should have broken into the food supply room by any means...not making only half-assed attempts when not drinking water and eating is also a sure way to die...
Government has cracked down on BL dramas again so who knows when they will be released....and even if they are - would it be worth it if it has 'nothing' to do with the source material...
The acting and the action scenes are good but, beside the 'work hard and persevere' message, there is little substance…
It is not really only working hard - it is shown, one has to have/be given a chance in order to actually work hard and achieve. He was incredibly lucky meeting the MMA fighter otherwise his life would have gone more terribly moving forward. He would have been bullied the whole time in prison and then been beaten to death by the 'school bully' or worse...

It was not that unbelievable he is a bully but a professional boxer...anyway... Also, I agree the trial is complete BS but it shows how the "justice" system works for some people - if one doesn't have a good lawyer, they can be convicted of anything - innocence or whatever doesn't mean anything. His lawyer was basically picking his nose during the trial.

As a professional martial athlete his body is considered a 'deadly weapon' so that may be a reason. It was self defence, "but with his training, he could have easily subdued them and not killed them". I agree it's bullshit. Good he was shown to be appealing against the verdict.
"Happy ending" for everyone else...and success in what they were trying to do - but him dying was not only sad but not really fleshed out - why he had to die... So sad ending for me...
