Title Shark: The Beginning Spoiler
The acting and the action scenes are good but, beside the 'work hard and persevere' message, there is little substance…
It is not really only working hard - it is shown, one has to have/be given a chance in order to actually work hard and achieve. He was incredibly lucky meeting the MMA fighter otherwise his life would have gone more terribly moving forward. He would have been bullied the whole time in prison and then been beaten to death by the 'school bully' or worse...

Title Shark: The Beginning Spoiler
Pretty good flick, for what it is, a fight-lover's dream. But even I enjoyed the amazing fight scene choreography,…
It was not that unbelievable he is a bully but a professional boxer...anyway...
Also, I agree the trial is complete BS but it shows how the "justice" system works for some people - if one doesn't have a good lawyer, they can be convicted of anything - innocence or whatever doesn't mean anything. His lawyer was basically picking his nose during the trial.

Title Shark: The Beginning Spoiler
Is it a thing that people go to prison in Korea for severely injuring others who are in the act of attacking them,…
As a professional martial athlete his body is considered a 'deadly weapon' so that may be a reason. It was self defence, "but with his training, he could have easily subdued them and not killed them". I agree it's bullshit. Good he was shown to be appealing against the verdict.

So this is a tragedy?
"Happy ending" for everyone else...and success in what they were trying to do - but him dying was not only sad but not really fleshed out - why he had to die...
So sad ending for me...

Loved the main leads so much in The Witch: Subversion - their chemistry together and separate was fire. Can't wait to see them again here...

I usually don’t like apocalypse-themed dramas/movies but really enjoyed the show examines the psychological aspect of that situation and how different people cope and change.

As a horror enthusiast, I usually avoid gore because it doesn't work as scare tactic for me. But here, it's part…
The sister was also level-headed and even that contributes. What I found really interesting was that the only monster the coward-squad had the guts to kill was the friendly child slime monster…

There are no overkill-kill scenes so maybe not that much gore and it’s scary in terms of caring about the characters and not wanting them to die. It is apocalyptic psychological survival drama. It is very good with some heavy themes… (hope this helps).

The last scene I'm pretty sure is Uimyeong (the guy who is a monster using his blood) in Sangwook's body. I am…
The firefighter is heading off to find Hyun Soo because "the deal is not over". Agree on the other things. Also, maybe her fiance is the 'body-shifter', right? I missed the "we know what he looks like now" the first time I watched it...could also be for the 'body-shifter'...

The show was amazing until episode 8 then it took a weird direction? Why bring all these nasty humans? I am feeling…
Because before it was very straight forward that the monsters are always the enemy and that is not really the case ever and not as interesting. People were so conflicted about the "gangster" killing the pedophile-serial killer it was a little ridiculous...
Also, when the gang leader spelled it out - that the group was a whole is relatively weak but many people are alive - really painter the picture for me how many people Hyun Soo saved but being hurt in their place getting provisions.

Just re-watched it fully for the second time...thought I could pace myself this time but instead binged it in one night again - went to sleep at 7 in the morning (watched for 9.5hrs)...still amazing! Hope a second season happens because the story is interesting and new.

Title Stand by Me Spoiler
Loved the web of scenes and acting of the cast of this drama. However, was disappointed how anticlimactic the death/win over Qiu Zi Liang was, when that was the main point of the story itself - to restore power to the Emperor. Also, the fact the Emperor died seems unnecessary - the whole subplot was added with the sole purpose of the dying as not to have an interesting/good ending for the characters instead of bringing anything to the story. This was not a last stand against an unsurmountable enemy where one can only die to save someone else of buy time for reinforcements. Qi Yan was a warrior but in the end dies like a character with a chronic heart condition... (which was already Rouling's elder sister) With so many twists and turns during the drama the ending was lazy.
On The Promise of Chang’an Nov 7, 2021
I am so tired of dramas where the main romance couple is separated by death - at least let the both of them die. I get a headache from the crying and dejection for at least that one night/day....
