I'm seriously contemplating a lawsuit against MDL users for fraud and emotional distress. Honestly, I don’t know how I fell for this scam. Normally, my drama radar is spot-on; even if I pick something that’s a solid "meh," at least I know what I’m in for. But this time? Oh, I was played. I noticed this mess was up to episode 26 and holding an 8.5 rating—so, naturally, I thought, "It must be worth a binge!" Spoiler alert: it was not.
The story began diving into nonsensical plot twists, and yet, there I was, clinging to the hope that they'd redeem themselves. I mean, surely, with these ratings, the payoff was coming, right? Wrong. By the time I hit episode 21, I checked MDL again, and bam—it had slipped to an 8.0. My heart sank. That’s when it hit me: I’d been conned into finishing this drama, and now I had no choice but to endure the last episodes.
Now that it’s over, I’m left grappling with the aftermath, desperately wishing for a Men in Black memory wipe. Because, honestly, what re-watch value does it have when the first watch was like a self-inflicted punishment? But hey, next time I’ll definitely learn from this—I’m practically traumatized into good taste now.
Yesterday when I finished this drama I was laughing 😂 but deep down, I was enraged. It actually had the potential…
I rarely make mistakes when I pick dramas to watch but this time I got scammed by MDLers 😒 When I saw that the rating is 8.5 with only 6 episodes left, I started watching it, took me couple of days to almost catch up and TADA the rating went down to 8 -_-
This must be a record - it took them 8 episodes to kill off someone!!!🙄☠️ By then, the only tears I had…
Yesterday when I finished this drama I was laughing 😂 but deep down, I was enraged. It actually had the potential to be a great drama, a very enticing start but things went downhill. I couldn't fathom the stupidity of writing that I just witnessed...
😂 I’m on episode 21, and I’ve been watching the last few episodes at 2x speed because I can’t wrap my head around this writing. I started noticing the storyline going downhill a while ago, but I was holding out hope they'd redeem themselves… Apparently, I was too optimistic.
Seriously, what the hell is going on here? Couldn’t the main lead just tell the second female lead (who’s been in love with him forever and happens to be the general) about what happened over a decade ago? Instead, he just acts like a worthless drunk most of the time, until she does a complete 180 and her character ends up massacring the story 😂 Imagine spending the whole show talking about her loyalty to the people and country, only for her to turn around, instead of piercing through the heart of the devil who massacred hundreds of thousands innocent people, she gives him couple of slap and hug him 😂😂. I’m laughing, but deep down, I am enraged . If this drama didn’t have so much potential, I wouldn’t care, but it did… Jeez.
It still amazes me that it has an 8/10 rating. I’ll keep skipping through to see how it ends and give my final verdict once I finish.
it's pretty much as I suspected and mentioned months ago.... The confidential project that was wrap up 7 months ago is a revolutionary-themed drama called “Northwest Years”. It’s related to the Chinese revolution so not made for international audience 😌
On another note, looks like Wu Lei has finished filming Dongjj island on October 30th! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GbLQC1BWUAAjqqz?format=jpg&name=orig “A picture of the wrap. A story. Every frame we weaved with time and passion will blossom on the big screen in the future. Thank you Lei Ge for your hard work! Date : 2024.10.30 Shooting duration : 129 days”
Wu Lei will move on to filming "The Decisive Moment" next, it was not an exaggeration when they announced he will be filming two movies back to back, just four days of rest for four months of intense filming and he’s back on set again.... Afterwards he has no other project in queue, so hold your breath guys and girls :) he may pick up a drama project soon. I saw rumors but nothing substantial yet.

Great 🤍But now what? Are you gonna postpone the others to watch this? xD
Nah... and I swear they are doing it in purpose 😂😂 As soon as a single platform breaks the drought released a hugely anticipated drama(s), the others feel threatened and start going all out.

I assume the same thing goes for Smile Code if it starts airing within couple of days? xD Told you, dramas are literally dropping like flies lately 😂 after a drought for couple of months, now they are so many going out that it's hard to keep up with them
Okay, this wasn't expected ^^ Glad to know that it will be released, but I need to keep my expectations low, it was a disappointing year so far compared to 2023 and 2022... Still this year could be saved with several dramas coming out during the last couple of months 🙏
Nothing new, he was seen having a dinner with Ni Ni and Zhu Yilong at a restaurant on Dongji Island couple of days ago (They are filming the movie Dongji Island there)
We got Amidst a Snowstorm of Love earlier this year, but it feels like it's been forever 🙄. AASOL finished filming a year before its release, and since then, Wu Lei hasn't taken on any drama offers, despite receiving plenty. He's been focusing on movies, currently filming Dongji Island with Zhu Yilong and Ni Ni. Once that's wrapped up, he'll move on to The Decisive Moment. The director has already confirmed they're waiting for him. Both films are blockbusters, which is great for his career.
I’ve also heard that he worked on a secret drama earlier this year, but don’t get your hopes up. If it’s true, it’s likely a modern Chinese history drama where he’d have a supporting role, possibly something like Faith Makes Great. Nothing is confirmed yet, but I’m waiting for any updates.
Is there any news that leo will be in a new drama?
Right now, he is filming Dongji Island. He was seen having a dinner with Ni Ni and Zhu Yilong at a restaurant on Dongji Island couple of days ago. After finishing Dongji Island, he will start filming The Decisive Moment. Both movies are blockbusters. It's great for his career, unfortunately as drama lovers we have to wait 🙄
